This should be a really easy question to answer, but when setting my sub amp gain with the dd-1 I only unplugged the positive post ( where the dd-1 prob goes.) and left the negative one in. This won't effect my gain setting will it? Like cause me to read not distorted when it is? Thanks in advance

I drive a stick, and i have 2 kicker compvr's around 300 watts rms or so never tested it out fully honestly and I've never had a problem with it. Just watch your rpm's it only gets annoying in stop and go traffic thats really backed up somebody the music can distract me lol

check and double check your voice coils in your subs a bad voice coil can easily make an amp go into safe mode, and also your gain should be all the way up, thats just begging for a blown sub

I don't have much experinces using caps or anything what your system is, but still lots of money invest here none the less nice build! sorry i couldn't be of much help :/

have you tried this without your cap hooked up?

heres a way to get your answer, look up the specs on your alt see how many amps it puts out, and see how amps you will be pulling with both of those amps hooked up aka check fuse sizes. also take into consideration that your car pulls amps off the alt itself and do the big 3 it will help alot and def upgrade that battery. that should give you a rough estimate weather you would need a high output or another battery, ether way if you add another battery or a high out alt it wont hurt anything less strain

what you might be referring too is the break in point. after about a week or two subs do break in and they tend to get louder, but if thats not it check all your connections and your ground, and go over everything with a meter
