The alt has calmed down now but at 2k im sitting at 15.4 but at 3k im at 15.8 at idle around 800... im seeing mid 14s... the alt cable is gsi oversized pure copper zero with NO fuseing and all soldered connectors. Its running better and with only one of my saz 3500s on, out of 2, and 3 mtx 9515s at .89 ohm load on the amp im dropping to 12.8s with my 2 kinetik hc2400s and hc 1400. But it is still running way more voltage than a normal 12 volt alt...

ill check it with my multimeter and check it out...

Hey just got my 240 big case conversion kit from Mechman and installed it. Its a 12 volt ho alt and im seeing 16v STEADY! There is no external voltage regulator on this alternator. I was wondering what i can do to step it down or is it just breaking in or can i put an inline voltage regulator on the cars adapter side? ive seen some Mechman alts with an external regulator and i was wondering if this was an option instead of sending it back for being "faulty" when its really just working too well! When all id need is a vr to install... Any help would be super appreciated also its a 1994 eclipse 2.0 gs non turbo.
