yeah thanks guys well i never made a box for 8 so i didnt know what to expect he already said he was sorry so but its done and over with im not mad i mean it sounds good but i mean thats alot of power but im not sure what to build now im kinda lost now i spent 200 bucks on materials alone and now i have to rip it all out and redo it all over again if it was 50 bucks in materials i wouldnt care as much but damn you know.

well ported would be louder than sealed right? the one i have now is ported.

yeah ill have to try it i mean its not like there not sounding good they sound great but ill try that and see what happens

there polk 1240 db series and i have a 98 blazer 4door and i have for right now a jl 1000/1 v2 i plan on upgrading i just wanted to see if that was enough to power them but i think i need more power if theres anything else you need to know just ask

yeah i really want someone from around here to help me like cutting and tuneing the box i would do it but its a pain and i could just pay someone and i can buy all the materials

well why couldnt you just not tell anyone ill give you a 100 bucks just for helping me with the design and cutting lol

yeah i just thought it would be a pain in the ass so i had him help out he did all the measurments but i was trying to see if someone on here could maybe help me out and design me one you know so i could get a idea

no i dont think theres a shop he had me come over to his grandmas and we built it in the driveway but that was a waist of money it costed me 200 bucks but i guess i wont do that again

lmao yeah i could build it but i have 8 12s so its kinda hard by myself so i thought i would see if someone was from flint except him and who could help me out and i could pay them just for there labor

yeah i didnt think that at the time but the guy who built it for me said it would be fine like that which he probably lied to me but he also said i could do a wall but i just didnt wanna do that for some reason

well i wanted the backseats so people can sit back there sorry thats what i meant, i have the specs on the subs but maybe someone could design me one and send me a pic of what it should look like im just trying to get all the power out of them i love how it sounds but other people think it theres something wrong which everyone of you thinks the box is small.

well how come im not getting proper air space to come out the port on the next box im gunna take out the back seats i just didnt wanna go that because i wanted people to hear it inside but i guess thats not happening

ill post a picture of it but im guessing its either not enough power or the box wasnt made properly i had this box made so im thinking it wasnt tuned right hell i didnt even know there was something wrong to me it sounds nice and loud but to people that are on here they came to my house the other day and they heard it and told me the lows should be way better than what they are now and i need to build a better box so im not sure but my voltage is at 14 at all times i have 0 gauge wiring threw my whole truck i have no problems at all

hi everyone im from flint and theres not to many guys with bass around here so i thought id ask whos all from here maybe i could get some tips and advise from you all thanks.

the box is tuned to 28hz and its 36x53 and the port is 1-6 thats all i know if i knew more i would tell you. but the subs are polk i just didnt have alot of money and i knew i should of did better but i just wanted 8 theres not to many cars with bass around here

could someone help me im thinking about making a new box in a few days and i need some peoples opinions

well thats what i was thinking but for some reason its not hitting them i mean theres some lows but nothing like how it should be for 8 12s this is my first box i had made but this is what i know who knows how true it is but its a 8 cube box so 1 cube for each sub. i just got a new radio so maybe that could be it but before my other radio quit it was alot louder plus i dont know if this makes a difference but i have the subs ran in parallel to.

hi i had a box made for my 4 door blazer a few months ago and for some reason i have no lows but i have unbelivable mids im thinking the box wasnt tuned properly i wanted it at 28hz thinking i would get some nice lows but nope. so now im asking you guys if you could help me i want it to hit great lows and mids and i wanna use it for daily and i want to have some good numbers. the subs i have are polk 1240 db series i know there not the greatest but its a good start im kinda on a budget

i have the kvt 617 there super nice radios they work great other than running the wires and the hideaway brain.
