I hope you riveted the shit out of them, otherwise his bass will shake em apart
Looking very good as usual, you turn out some great work!!!
Word
Looking good, buy I'm nervous. Resin to PP is not a good idea.

if you hear sub bass coming out the amp, the dd1 should pick it up off the rca's........ do you hear anything when you plug it in?
-
Zapco 9.0
-
but they want 20 bucks for every half hour on the TL so thats just not affordable
......dude. That is cheap.
-

They're not the most resilient subs I've seen...... but they will make some noise.
They will sound the best, in my opinion, in a larger box, tuned really low. However, they will be easier to blow up..... may not be best for this boom boom customer.
tune them to 45 with smaller port and let him deal with the chuffing to keep them from blowing up

Better dial them back. The 35 suspension is softer than the 95.
-
Xmax and Xmech aren't usually off by more than a few mm. DD's nearest equivalent to a BTL is 30mm Xmech. I imagine they're pretty close.

My scope is $89 shipped.

I can't say 100% on build quality - if you guys say they're good, I believe you. Same Chinese stuff as everything else.
I have only heard a couple sets of crescendos and they were loud...... That's about it.
-
I been hearing good things about those Crescendos
Really? I haven't....

Any of the trucks ext or full cab?
I'm a reg cab guy - at least on work trucks. My Dodge is a 1/2 ton with a short box looks cool, but not as practical.

More juice. Look at the electrical in my sig. That's for similar power and optimas aren't even what id prefer
Can't see sigs on my phone....
Optima sucks..... Odyssey, or similar, all the way. Evidently there is just a slightly higher lead content in Odyssey over other EnerSys manufactured batteries. Just what I heard. Regardless, I'm an odyssey dealer.
I know I will have an easier time with voltage drop with batteries near the amps anyway.
I'll look at 4 batts instead of 2. Thanks

That's the spirit!
.....
I just read Ray's thread - hit 153 with 2 12's. If I can't hit 155 with 4-15's I'm retarded.
Pulse car audio, burped a 155+ with 1 600 watt RMS sub, on ten times the power without blow the subs in over 10 burps,
second vid in the first post My link
That's what I'm talking about.
It will just be up at 70hz or some garbage....
I would love to build a couple of interchangeable ports for some trials, and have 2 in the end so I can get some street bass instead of just burp tuning
-
Not a bad idea. I just didn't think I would need that much area for a bandpass and would block most of that open space anyway.
I just plan to sell the truck next year.....
-
Could always just remove the whole rear window and have all the room for port that you'd need. If done carefully you will not damage the vehicle in any way other than simply needing a new seal for the rear window when it is replaced. Something similar to what Hank did with his 48 10s build. Unless that is what you intended on doing in the first place and I just didn't understand the way you wrote it.
-
Hmmmmm op you built a lot of 6th orders but never a spl system.....
That's why I'm asking. I want to know the method, theory, etc - not just a quick answer.
Id think you'd need more juice for two m4s though. unless those are really BIG batts.I'm planning a pair of Odyssey 2250's because they'll fit under the hood. I could throw 1500's (stock mounts) under the hood and another big pair in the back, I suppose.
-
Dont compare my burban freak to a truck
But i think its fine
Id go 4th order with 95's
I know your SUV is insane..... not likely to get there, just dreaming.
Why 4th over 6th? Just ease of design, or do the 95's do well in a 4th? I've always rolled with the notion that a stiffer suspension is better suited to 6th order, and figured they don't get much stiffer than a 95. I honestly have built twice as many 6th orders as I have 4ths, mostly experimenting to see what responses I could get. I have never done a common tuning on a 6th. I'd like to try that at some point.
I'll build a small bandpass and plug in in the same space and check with the RTA to see what to shoot for.

xmax can help you out when picking lower powered subs, but it's really not a good indicator of how loud a big sub will be.
DD really pioneered the tall surround - as opposed to a fat, wide one. Allows for more cone area on a sub with high Xmax.

Rockford 501bd - 2004, I think.

.....Seriously? You can't tell me this has never been done before.
Alaska Ink's Tattoo Tank
in Tattoo Topics (and other body art) show off your tats! show off your piercings!

I'm about to start a MASSIVE system in a Tank here pretty soon.
It's owned by Alaska Ink here in Ketchikan. http://alaska-ink.com/
The plan is to have it at the SEMA show, and the ball is rolling to have some major manufacturer support. It will be sweet!
The topic for discussion is, would you like to get a Tat AT THE SEMA SHOW?!? We're also looking at getting a celebrity tattoo artist or 2 on the floor, just for fun.
Here's the 21000 beast. No, it's not going to have a wall of 18's..... It's a functional law enforcement vehicle, here in my tiny town. They literally have this puppy on call in case they have to assemble a small-town version of a SWAT team.
