For the love of god, if you get HID's, retrofit good projectors in...
No idea what you mean. explain?
he is suggesting you to get projectors, and retrofit them (like the morimoto minis)
and not to just install the HID's in the oem reflectors.

That is definitely not going to work. WIth that box design your box is tuned to about 77Hz and will sound like complete crap.
Can you explain how you got that with just his max dimensions?

Welcome to the forums.Here is a suggestion for a box:
Enclosure Specifications:
Fb = 37 Hz
Vb = 0.88 ft^3
External Height = 12 in
External Width = 20 in
External Depth = 14 in
Port Width = 1 5/8 in
Cut Sheet List:
* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.
External Enclosure Parts:
Front = 17 5/8 x 10 1/2
Back = 20 x 10 1/2
Left & Right Sides:
Side 1 = 12 1/2 x 10 1/2
Side 2 = 13 1/4 x 10 1/2
Top & Bottom = 20 x 14
L Port Internal Assembly Parts:
Front to Back = 10 7/8 x 10 1/2
Extension = 14 1/2 x 10 1/2
Extension 2 = 3 1/16 x 10 1/2

maybe your car isnt flexing enough to get picked up by a video camera. it happens
that might be.
I just think its funny how the doors get separated like half an inch from the door frame. and in the camera its just not showing.

I just installed both of my subs.
and they really flex my vehicle, way more than expected.
however I'm trying to record it and it just doesn't show.
I'm using a Sony dcr-dvd610
and a sony dst-tx1(hd)
and none of them show flex.
the dcr a little more but nothing compared to what really is.
my question is: IS THERE ANY TRICKS ?? or should I just try some other cameras???
should I aim for higer resolution???? lower???

I ran out of power wire. (truck is longer than it seems LOL)
I just order some more.
meanwhile I decided to start to break in the subs one at a time.
only one sub playing in the video.
in the enclosure made for both subs (so its huge for one)
only one amp on stock alt running off main battery.
it actualy flexes pretty good. the camera doesn't show.
some bass is better than no bass!!!

Q its more oriented towards SQ (but it can get really loud)
BL its more of an SPL sub (but it can get pretty musical)
I had to do the same decision not to long ago.
went with the BL and I Love it!

I dont know what car are these going into, but with those lenses probably your lighting pattern would suck.
I've heard these are awesome, and the pattern its superb.

my brother stock battery got stolen!
he's got a 2003 tahoe 5.3L
I had a xs 925 around and we tried it as his main battery (and only)
and it amazed me it works flawlessly, I mean for such a tiny battery, it starts the truck right away.
I guess is all about the CCA.

ok, cool, I just preffer a good quality smaller sub, than a lesser quality bigger one.
but it would be a fun project.
