What current can the XS batteries be charged at though?

What current can the XS batteries be charged at though?

I left these in the car playing 20Hz at low volume for a few hours the other day, while I was sitting in the house... too quiet to even be able to hear them...
few hours later, a felt like total poo....
it's an interesting phenomenon... lol.. but not much fun
-
my car has previously peaked at 39-40Hz....
the "new" subs are currently peaking at about 36Hz, in the same box as the old subs peaked at 39Hz...
the new subs currently measure as having an FS of 42-44Hz, while the old ones were 34Hz...
-
there are many variables the effect the outcome of the gain or loss in some cases.
have you actually seen a loss before?
-
might have to go play some 20Hz through my subs for the rest of the day
they're meant to have a resonant frequency of 36Hz, but currently measure 42-44Hz... me thinks they're a bit stiff
-
Has anyone tried this?
metered brand new, out of the box subs, then given them a few months to soften up (or a few days playing 10Hz at full volume? )
and then tested again to see what gains can be had?
Just curious really?
discuss!

could make it out of inch thick glass... easier to join than granite...

what part is actually flexing?
I'd add maybe two or three dowels from top to bottom, no other panel on that box is big enough to flex except maybe the baffle, as the woofers are close together.
-
here's the build log, there's a video in the last post on the first page, and another on the second page.
what part of the box is flexing?
it really doesn't come across as being very loud in the video, are you sure the woofers are all in phase?
-
and do you have a link to that?
-
pics of box? and bracing?
-
...why didn't you measure your own trunk...
-
Nothing to see here.

20x30x18(h) in 3/4mdf
16.5x3.5x30(l) port
5cuft gross
3.5net
34hz
Wow thanks man. That's amazing! You don't even know how happy I am. !
that isn't the box you posted dimensions for.
-
the height was supposed to be 17 height of 17 not 27 lol
17 high would make more sense to the 15.5 high port..
-
with external dimensions, 0.75inch MDF, it works out to be about 6cuft tuned to 26Hz.
-
are they meant to be internal or external dimensions? what thickness wood if external?
-
only thing is, you'll want to use PVC pipe with a similar radius to the port width, for the port bend anyway.
as for the other roundovers in the box, I'd put them in too, might gain a little on the meter, might not hear a difference, but every little gain adds up
-
Its two pieces glued together with PVC pipe glue, then I partially filled the back with araldite, left it overnight to dry, and then used a dremel to smooth/taper the ends..
-
first one because it creates equal loading on the subs.
Also, I'd use PVC pipe for the round over at the back of the port.
-
for how long? at what voltage drop? how is it measured?
-
what is the "max amps" then? or is it pretty much like "PMPO" and doesn't mean a whole lot? Or is there some method of testing this also? 3 seconds? short circuit current?
-
wouldn't a 14 volt battery be charged at up to 16.8volts?

for all of them? even the smallest one?
