not retrofitting existing vehicles is what will really slow down the move to alternative powered vehicles...as they start to gather steam, the oil companies will drop prices and that will kill the technology before it gets going. if you can get a gas car for significantly less than some new fangled vehicle with unknown overhead costs and gas comes down, you will stay in your gas car...perhaps that scenario will push the automakers to consider retrofits but currently I've heard nothing from anyone with any such plan.

yeah, you can trim some of the strands on the end that goes into the amp to get it in and the terminals you'll want to pry open enough to get in there...also clean your room

Its funny, when I was trying to quit smoking, I got carded for the nicoterm patch things, but not for the actual tobacco at a lot of places, and almost never for alcohol (I've been carded more since I was legal than when I was underage actually).

thats just the amp reacting to the radio turning off and it kinda discharges and causes the little pop...you can get one of these to go inline and it should eliminate it (coupon code MEADE should shave off a little change, Darvex is a great seller too, has a subforum at SMD and everything)

for the life of me I'll never understand this online social network stuff (in a non-profession related manner)...why not go out to the mall, college campus, grocery store, movies, job place, blockbuster, liquor store, bus stop, shooting range, animal hospital, abortion clinic or any other thousands of places and meet chicks? I can almost understand it for the women folk, they love to talk and chat and stuff but us men are more...physical and visual.

that is your network connection, I assume you are on a wireless network. your actualy connection speed is probably less than 8mbps download and maybe 1mbps upload (probably more like 768kbps really). go to dslreports.com and check under tools I think to run a "connection" speed test and see what your numbers look like over all.
at any rate, faster download/upload is up to your carrier. you'll pay for anything faster than your basic service and might see little or no gains from it depending on what you are trying to do. if you are just downloading porn, your dl's probably wont happen any faster, you'll just be able to get more going from different sources simultaneously without a losing much (of course your disk write speeds, AV settings, and firewall traffic come into play then).
the problem is really that you will not see any downloads coming down at a speed/size to max your bandwidth from a single source, as most places you are downloading stuff from arent able to "upload" it to you that quickly...
that might be more than I needed to type but I've learned to look at the jumbly titty lass in your sig and still be functional and coherent
quick edit-the 54mbps is the network bandwidth you would be chewing up if you were transferring/connecting to a resource that is on your personal network as well, like a second computer somewhere that you wanted to copy files to or stream music from....

sorry to hear about the leak...I almost got a sunroof installed on a car some years back and the guy at the place did me a solid and told me they would warranty it but it would almost definitely leak sooner or later

I'm going to be pissed if it finds probblems and tells me what they are, then tells me I got to pay for it before it fixes them.LOL
I havent run housecall in about a year, I've gotten out of desktop support, but they didnt used to do that. if it found it would fix it. Its a good addendum to run if you have complications with an installed product. Takes awhile due to it not having an installed footprint on your machine though but it is effective. I used to support alot of road warriors (consultants/sales) and those guys infect thier machines with everything possible (which is funny cause if that PC dies they lose money literally for every minute of downtime)

spybot wont detect a virus. if you have a virus or some other adware installed (goofy toolbars from alexa or someone) those items will get re-downloaded and installed as soon as the machine is on line again. what is it telling you its finding? if its cookies or mru stuff its not significant and will come back with your surfing anyway.

if you think you have a virus and AVG isnt finding it, try running Trend Micro's online scan. the problem with a virus scanner is that if you are already infected, it cant very well clean it as its "in residence" and whatever propogated it went unresolved to begin with. perhaps the online scanner will be more beneficial as it can run from a nuetral and clean environment.

also limewire is an invitation for spyware and viruses...examine the programs you have installed and you may just find the root of your problem....

when they say the current prius " normally runs only short distances at slow speeds on electric power alone" what do they call short distances (20-30miles?) and slow speeds (20-40mph)?
great for city drivers either way though
