ive ran at .5ohm for two months daily and never dropped below 13.4 with my voltage.
-
But... why? Like I get it for the big boys to squeeze a little extra juice out of their amps but why not just buy an amp that does the power you need at 1 ohm? or 2 if your stuck with certain coils.
in my case it came to getting a good deal on 4 subs that were all dual 1 so yeah..

crescendo bc series.. 2k, 3.5k, 5k.. electrical is pertinent

honestly with your voltage drop that low you you could get away with just 0 guage wire front to back and the big 3..

If you have read recently on the Florida incident they didn't find any signs of bath salts in that guy's system.. but they did find the mary jane... just saying

I should be able to answer this by the end of the day

edc is amazing haha luckily i live in vegas

has it applied to you to maybe unhook the speakers from the speaker wire? it takes about 10-15 minutes to take all the door panels off, just a suggestion. It's not the dd-1's fault that you installed everything the way you did.

my pioneer doesn't clip to max volume either, iirc most pioneer hu's don't clip until max volume
-
that would be fine, any bolt on the alt case besides the power
-
yes it actually word for word says" not needed" but thats sealed or 4th order bandpass haha but im doing ported so it says 1/2 octave below tuning frequency of port
-
cool thats what i assumed, so go to 80-100hz on the 4 channel and leave the lp all the way down? on the headunit the max subwoofer level is +6(not bass boost) so im leaving it there correct? and leave the eq to flat on the headunit?
-
cool that worked( rca's plugged in, positive to positive speaker terminal and negative to ground with the subs unhooked. successfully dd1'd my ride so thanks guys, just curious what you guys do to the bass boost from this point. I read the book and it said the subsonic isn't needed for 15's so ill just leave this turned all the way down, and then with the hpf and lpf on the 175.4 i am a little confused, looking at the manual it shows 125 hz for a 12db/oct on the highpass for 6.5s and 100hz for a 24db/oct on highpass as well, and nothing for low pass.. here are the specs for my components. High-Pass (HP): 3.0kHz @ 18dB/octave Butterworth
Low-Pass (LP): 3.0kHz @ 12dB/octave Butterworth

thanks ill give that a try really quick, thanks for the help and patience guys i know this is tedious with such a simple thing.

Im saying the dd1 signal light will not turn on while it is plugged into the sub amp.
-
Are the subs hooked up?
yes they were hooked up as far as subs to amp goes but i unplugged the rcas that were going to the sub amp. Just to clarify all my settings are flat on the head unit, i have the gain, subsonic, and bass boost all the way off on the amp

ill go give that a shot really quick thanks for the quick response!

Hey guys I just finished my build with 4 level 4 15's. Im trying to tune it all with my dd1 and am running into some trouble. My sub amp is a crescendo bc5500d. The RCA's are input left and right, I plugged each one into the dd1 and turned the volume all the way up with track 1 and never got a signal. I plugged the dd1 into a rca going into the 175.4 i also have for my mids/highs and it told me that my headunit clipped at 40/40. I then plugged the dd1 positive end into the positive speaker terminal on the sub amp( this would be the postive wire that comes from the box right?) and plugged the black end into the ground for my sub amp and got no signal from the dd1 with the volume at 39 since that is the max unclipped volume. Am i doing something wrong? Thanks in advance guys!

got a good laugh out of that haha
