  1. hard to tell, haven't heard your L7 :)

Its amazing. No one can belive its only one sub in the car. I haven't put it on a meter (local shop around don't do that) but there is a show coming up in may. I think it will do mid 140's. I want to add a Audio Control spl 160 and a line driver before then. My head unit only has a 2 volt output. So there is still alot of thing for me to do to the car. This will be my first time showing in over 15 yrs. Alot of rules have change and Alot of the companies then lead the way back then aren't as good anymore. So I'm just tring this setup until I can get 4 Solo-X 10 And 3 more Zx 1500.1

  2. Although its not rated for it, im sure it would handle the load just fine since its running high pass.

...... but why would you want a mono signal to your mids/highs?

I have 2-ZX200.2 bridged to each door. So one get the left output and the other gets the right output from the HV. But the highs are still getting over powered by the bass. So i was going to add another set of 6 1/2's to each door. But i didn't know if it be safe for my amps because that would give them a 2 ohm load. I throught giving my highs 200 wrms each would keep there level up with the 15" L7 running off a ZX1500.1 . But I have to keep the bass down low to hear the highs. If anyone know something esle i could do to get the level up. I would like to know. Because i'm alittle afriad to build some door plans. I have never used fiberglass before. Right now a have a set of Polk DB651 in the doors and like I said they are getting 200 wrms.

  3. i have a stock atl and battery up front and a kintek 800 and a 6 farad cap in the rear. it seem to do the trick. if you are going to use the 2500 you could add a highout alt to your budget. the 1500 only takes a 4 ga wire. my setup is a single 15 pushed by the 1500 and its way more then a expected. i haven't put it on a meter but my last system was doing 142 and this is way louder so i'm thinking it should do about 145. i don't know what you are really tring to do but the 1500 is more then enouch amp for everyday pounding. the 2500 would be over kill. two 12's on that then i hope use are going to get some solox or something along that line. i don't think the L7 can handle that kind of power. i'm over powering my L7 with the 1500. the dealer told me i shoud have 2 15's on it but i'm hard headed...lol good luck what ever way you go. just remenber when you do your budget you as in all the little stuff you need. i went over budget by 400 buck just termial rings , wires and contactor. that little shit really adds up

  4. I have the ZX1500.1 on a 15" L7 and 2 ZX200.2 push the mids/highs. The ZX1500 is a great every day amp. I've add a 2nd battery and a cap and my volts never drops below 11.9 at full volume. If you can i would advices you to get a 1500 on two 12" L7. You will be very happy with the setup. When i get some more money i'm going to add another 1500 and change my sub to a solo-x D2 AND HAVE 1 ZX1500 ON EACH VOICE COIL AND ADD A 250 AMP ALT

  5. I checked out the RS and the SS and didn't reall hear the difficent bettween the 2. i ended up getting a set of Polk mmc6500 just becuase they sounded better then both. I love my Kicker amps snd my Kicker L7 but as far as mids & highs go I couldn't tell any sound Diff between the 2. And for the price of the SS there are better out there.

  6. To make a long story short my kx850.4 went bad today..The protection light just came on and won't go off. The amp is some years old now, so i guess it's time for a new mids/highs amp. So if you guys have anything that can help me out holla.

    PM ME

Get at me ASAP..My local car audio store is asking for 230.00 for a rockford fosgate p4004. Fuck that, too much.

I have a Memphis Pr150.2 & Pr100.2 i'll let you get both for 150 if you throw n your Kx850 i'll make that 125 including shipping you pay to ship the kx850

  7. Well i got my new system in and tuned. And i must say those Kicker amp are at the very less Impressive!!! I changed from Memphis amp to Kicker only because of how happy I was with the Kicker L7 15 I got from a young family member for $75. I knew it needed more power to get the output it was able to give. I was going to get an bigger Memphis amp so all my amps would match but all the Memphis amps make there biggest power at 1 ohm and my 15 is a D4. So i looked around to see what was out there and ended up with a ZX1500.1 . Well then the amps didn't match so I went out and got 2-ZX200.2 and bridged them to each door. I was going to get a set of Ks 6 1/2" componet but I listen to a set of Polk MM6500 and they sounded better so i was going to try the SS componets but they didn't sound better so i ended up with the Polks. The plan was to make everything Kicker but it got alittle side tracked for overall sound. But i can help but love the Kicker products i do have. Well all i have to said on my Kicker but for anyone that haven't try the amps you may need to give them a try. I had my set on a Massive amp but the dealer say to try the Kicker for one week and i wasn't happy then he would sell me the Massive amp for the same price as the Kicker(the Massive was $80 more). Well he was right i sayed with the Kicker!!!
