It was good to see you guys this weekend!!! I did a personal best with a 147.3. I'm going to make the trip to Smithfeid Sunday hope to see you guys there.

I had mine in my glove box since I got my 1000D a year ago and I finally hooked it up. The LED doesnt work anymore (which isnt a huge issue since its blinding at night) and the knob itself keeps turning in the case. If I turn the knob the entire thing inside the case spins and the knob doesnt click so the dot on the knob doesnt line up with the min and max. It seems to do this worse when the car is warm.
So how much is a new one going to set me back or is this covered by the warranty?
I got one around here...I never use them pmed me a address and I'll send it to you.

I think the concept of 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500 amps are a good idea

Definitely do the big 3 .... Your car really shouldn't dim off the power you're giving it... If it still does after the Big 3, make sure the grounds at the rear are nice grounds, on bare metal. Hifonics 1200 at 2 ohms is only 500 watts. On the bright side though the amp will like running 2 ohms.
Way to get everything Ironed out! Audio is great if you have more interest in it than just having some 'beat'.....

How do you calculate the port area of areo port and how much port area needed per cu. ft. using areo ports?

sorry your dimensions are wrong internal dimensions are 34.25 wide x 22.5 high x 14.5 = 11174.0625
5.8 is ok . They work good in that size. I did 147 with 2 15" nightshade in that size tuned to 36hz. Subs will that great in anything from 5.8-7 cuft tuned from 34 to 38 hz. I love them in 5.8 tuned to 35hz. plays eveything. I don't what type of music you like. I try everything from Coletrain to 2Pac

anyone? is that enough port? and is that diagram right?
divide you Cu.ft by your port area...You want it between 12-16 sq in per cu ft. The closer to 16 you are the more spl you will have.

I guess the real question is what can your custmer afford. I would Make my demo vehicle with items my custmer can buy off the shelf. The idea of a demo vehicle is to show what the stuff on the shelf will do if install right. So are your custmer more likely to buy Lvl4 XL or Lvl 5?

I was running 2 15" on 3k and was doing 146.??? then i dropped down to 1 and gain a 1.5 DB on the same 3k. so if it was me i'd go with the 1 15 xl
