sorry man the show is still going on...maybe someone will get a vid on his next run

Um, didn't he hit 180 earlier this year?
don't know I'm new to the competiton scene
-
Alan Dante pulls it off and sets a new world record for extreme 2 with an outstanding 180.3 db on the dash at the Nspl Night Jam in High Point NC

Ok I 've been playing with WinISD alpha program. I don't really know if I'm using it right but this is what I came up with. Rear chamber 3.531 with port 4 " dia and 2" long. Front chamber .925 with port 4" Dia 7.28 long. Rear chamber tuned to 48.05 and front 66.51. That give me a 6db peak at 52hz. I know nothing about bandpass boxes. Is this what I want if my RF is around 54?
PS this is just a fart box Sq means nothing to me.
-
Polecat or anyone every heard a L7 in a bandpass? I was thinking of tring a 15" L7 in a 6th order bandpass. I never seen them in one How well suited are they for that? Its well be a 15" 08 D2 run off a 1500.1 @ 1ohm & I'm tring to have a peak between 50 to 60 hz because the RF of my car is 54hz.
-
Ok my deal is space. I was thinking of 2 Lvl4 Xl 12"s but I don't feel like I would have the room needed. I would like to do 150's (burp). Would it be a good idea to go with 2 12 or 1 15 power wise i'll be doing 3k for burp and 2k daily. The best I can do is 4.5 cu.ft total. So should I go with the 2 XL's or 1 Lvl5 ?it will handle alot more than that
17kwrms for burps!
-
Hey Rusty will a Lvl 5 handle 2k daily and 3.5k burp? Also in the right box do you think a single 15" Lvl 5 can do 150'sFinished 31 of the motors last last week, got 14 left
-
Has anyone tried a Lvl 4 or 5 in a 6 order bandpass?? If so what kind of number? And how much power are you feeding it?
-
Tell me about it!!! My class says 200 amp max draw but they let the guys run the 2k6's and they are pulling over 350 amps but its only rated at 200 @ 4 ohms. Killing me but when the 2000d hits I'll see if I can even things upnSPL is getting more ridiculous by the day... an amp confirmed to draw 1000 amps will be allowed in 0-400 class.
Tell me how that works ? Fred may as well not have rules if they are allowed to bend that much.
-
Will you be taking pre-orders on the 2000D?
-
YIPPY!
Prices set yet?
X10
You said the 2000d was test at 2900 watts @ .5 what is the specs @ 1 & 2 ohms
-
I asked this question about my 1500 a few weeks ago. Check out what Polecat had to say about it.
-
thats a dual ported box not a bandpass
-
well hopefully the 2000D and a pair of DC LVL4 XL will make a changeFred could require an external fuse @ 200 amps from an off the shelf brand, eg: Stinger, Audiopipe, etc.
If any one brand fuse is winning a suspicious percentage then it's rating could be contested.
Pretty simple but, IMO, it won't happen in nSPL.
-
You are right but its real hard to be in that class when you are limited to 1 amp with only a 200amp draw and those Stetsoms are doing 3K with a 200 amp draw something really nned to change.IMO... it's dishonest. Whether Fred would allow it or not is not the question, I don't think it's right.
The amp draws ~300 or more amps of current at full output and does not belong in a 200 amp class for beginners. If it did they would call it a 300 amp class.
-
that sounds like a good idea to meI understand why you won't under-rate the fuse rating but what about a special edition amp like a NSPL-3000D with a special 200a fuse rating? Then you could limit the buyers to actual competitors who understand how to properly use the amp. Just an idea.
-
that sound great. I run in the NSPL and i'm having trouble keeping up with the 2k6 so i'm looking for something that will put out about the same power. It'll be out later in the year - I'd estimate October to November.
I've tested them around 2900 watts or so on burps @ 1/2 nominal.
-
When will the 2000d be out? And will it do 3k @ .5?The 2000D will require an external fuse @ 200 amps.
-
Lol why not stetsom they clean up in nspl
Alot of guys here are using them and most say they aren't good for everyday use. My car is my daily driver so the amp needs to be very depenible(sp). My plan is to use d1 subs so the amp only needs to be able to burp 3000 watts at .1. And have good power at 2 ohms daily. I may have to stay with my Kicker ZX1500 but just wanted something a littie bigger that could hang with the 2k6

1) 300a
2) 300a
3) 250a
shit

does anyone know the fuse rating for these Hifonic amps
XXV Thor mono
XXV Cyclops (the 2-ch & mono)
BXi 2608D (will this do 3k if brup @ .5)
-
The AQ2200D is your best bet, it's 2200 watts into 1 ohm which is less than what you asked but it does right @ 200 amps and it's the best i could think of. Why can't you do over 200?
I'll be competeing in NSPL and the class I want to be in says that the amp can't have more then a 200 amp draw. I want to run two Lvl 4 12's with 1500 rms
-
I'm looking for a amp that will do 3000 watts or better. But the can't have a fuse rating over 200 amps. Can anyone point me to a amp? I looked at Hifonics but they don't say what the fuse rating is on the site. And I don't want to you Seteson.
