That cool I'm going to get a term-lab first. Outlaw Car Audio wants to start a Team DC Audio here in NC. Asked if I would change sub and become a member. I was going to do a Lvl 4 with Lvl5 coils but these will be the ticket. 1 15" Lvl4 XL with 1500 rmsAfter we get lots of testing done, We want to make sure this is something the public wants, we also need to figure out pricing and well you know bla bla bla, probly be a few months if it gets released
By the way are there any componets in the works???

I think what he means is instead of 6 shitty 15 do 2 good 18's or 4 good 12's. 6-15's @ 200 each=1200. I belive you can find some good subs for that.

Or you can go to makeitlouder.com. Here you can get a meater, the program, and Spectrum Analyzer so you can view how the sounds waves that are flowing in your truck or car while you beatin. I bought one from them and my numbers are coming out the same as term lab and they are way cheaper. For the whole Package I payed a little more than $250 and it can read from 50 - 186 db. which is a whole lot better than $600 term lab. Now I'm not downing term lab. I'm just stating if you want to know how many db's you hittin and you ain't got the cheese to spend on a term lab get your stuff from makeitlouder.com. The owners name is Will Hamby.

child support is bull shit anyhow, ive been raising my daughter for 5 years now, and my ex has yet to give me one dime in support money and the cunt is able to draw afdc or what not on her new child she has, but i still sit and spit the bill alone and she gets everything handed to her, hud (free houseing ) 100 towards her power bill each month, food stamps, medicade, all kinds of crap, but the males in the usa that are raising their kids alone dont get the attention or help that a female gets, and they have some shit there siting on they could sell instead of working... we have to get out and make our money the hard way
I'm in the same boat as you. Trying to rasie 2 kids on my own. Can't any child support or help. Its hell having to work 10 hrs and coming home and help with homework and cook dinner. Then turn around and have to clean up :mad: But all you here about is dead bet dad. You never about the dads that alone :mad: But I don't think I would let another person rasie my kids anyway

Ok i don't have a meter that i can use right now. But at the show I was just in I used a test tone cd that went from 20 to 80 hz in 5hz increments(sp) . I started at 40 hz and went up. It was the loudest at 50 & 55hz. So i think I'm in the ball park. Please correct me if i'm wrong. The box i have now is tuned to 37hz.

I would double up on the subs for cone area, I think 2 subs with half the power would be louder than 1 sub with double the power, or at least in my testings thats how it has always turned out

Yes!!!! I talk to dropbottommazda about getting a lvl4 with lvl5 soft parts. I GUESS I"LL GET ONE OF THESE!!!!

Not sure if you supposed to tune around possibly 5-8hz lower than your resonant frequency to get it peak at that. The you play that resonant frequency. I could be wrong
SPL2K told me that it would be a good starting point so I'll try it and do some testing to see how it does.

depending on voltage and impedence rise, you can or 'should' be able to on a burp...
thanks for the info. I think i'm going to try to build a spl box for my L7 first. I just did a 142 with it and the 1500.1 with a box that is 4 cuft tuned to 37hz. The spl box i'm going to try is 2 cuft tuned to 54hz. My car resonant at 56hz. Do you think i'm on the right track. By the way this is a 07 15" L7

I was told that DC's aren't spl speaker but I'm thinking of using one or two in a spl setup in my car. I want to say in my class so I was thinking of using a sinlge 15" Lvl4 with Lvl5 coil. I can give it 2000 rms. or I could do 2 12" Lvl4 with Lvl5 coil but that means they will be getting 1000 rms. I need to be between 147 and 150 in my class to stay in the points hunt. The box would be a pure brup box. I was hoping some could make someone could help me out. This is my first year competeing. Would it be better to give 1 sub 2000 or 2 subs 1000 each? I know my car resonant frequency of my car is 56hz. I'm building a box now for my 15" L7 that is 2 cu ft tune to 54hz but it will be 2 weeks before i can get it metered. Do anyone have any subjections on a spl box for a Lvl 4 15?

Ive seen it done. I dont reccomend it unless your highly "educated" on kicker amps. If that makes sense. there are plenty of people that so it but tey have done tons of testing and building and tweaking to get to the point where they can safely do it.
the brith sheet says its 1705 @ 14.4 and my voltage at idle is 14.1 and with voltage drop 13.4 what do you think it would do at 1ohm. 2000 maybe ?

Alright...so i have a crunch pzi3000.1 amp. I have it running at 1 ohm to 2 12" L7's. I have had this amp for about 3 months now.....and i have yet to have a problem with it. Today i was beatin....and then all of a sudden the amp just cuts out and nothing is coming from it, the subs just stopped pushin completely. I know that it could be that the amp over heated and went into thermal protect, but why did just all of a sudden do it now? I turned my car off real quick after i pulled off somewhere and then i gave it a few seconds....turned it back on, and it worked again. It did the exact same thing a couple hours later. I have my amp sitting in between my box and my back seat ( so not that much air movement), but i've never had any trouble with it before. I dont know if it has anything to do with it, but i have my gains set at just a little over halfway.....with no bass boost. Is there something that i need to do to prevent this from happening again? And what do you think is actually goin on with the amp? thanks for the help

A: If so then its overheating. you can add some fans to move air across the heat sinks.
Q: Have you checked your voltage with a DVM?
A: You can have voltage drop that cause your to go into protection.

Am. staff is a AKC reg pit. Back in the day before dog fight was outlawed the UKC the dogfighting Reg. The Akc didn't want any part of dog fighting so they chanced the name to Am.Staff. The Staff then became show dogs and the pit stay in the fighting ring. The Ukc stop dealing with the dog fighting side in 1976 when they foundly made it illegal. The dog fighter start the Adba short after that. But now adays no one keep track of the dog fighting Champions or Gr.Champion now. Becuase they can be lock up for promoting dog fighting. There are still under ground reg. that still track Champions and shows . But you have to know someone who has been a member for 5 yrs just to reg with them. The ADBA & UKC are really slow with paper work so make sure if you buy online the seller has paper work in hand. Never buy a pup and let them send your paper later. You going to get taken for a ride. And a Dna is a good idea. Some people will sell you some great paper and the pup you get is something form the pound. You are in LA I would try Whiteoak Bitter Kennels. She is a great lady to deal with. Her prices are Alittle high but she sell great dogs.

It can be hooked to a computer just like a term lab or you can just get the mic and hook it to a volt meter. I think thats pretty cool myself. I'm really thinking about getting this meter myself.
