  1. Hey guys I ordered a z v.3 15 from one of the dealers near me about 2 weeks ago and neither more or them have yet to hear anything back about the order. I was hoping I could get some response. This is more directed towards anyone with Sundown. I love your guys products and customer service you got me as a live long customer but I just wanted to know when I could be expecting a response about the order. Thanks a ton.

  2. Yo, I am almost saved up for 4 of these lil beasts. I wanted to try something different. My question is can I get the 4 of these wired down to 1 ohm off a single amp? I know little about wiring subs. I am also needing help with designing a box for all 4. I have built a box for the one I have now but I don't know how a box for 4 of them should be built. Odd question I know but any help would be great. Hoping to get loud and low with them.

  3. one D4 ohm wires down to 2.

two D4 ohm wires down to 1.

But I thought wiring worked different for dual voice coils?

If.you get a second just make.sure.it matches the first one. And like.was stated 4 wired to 2. And 2 wired.to 1. There bith fine but match the first one if you.get another one

    Okay cool. Thank you

    one dual 4 wire in parallel + + , - - wires down to 2

    two dual 4 wire in parallel ++++ , - - - - wires down to 1

    Works for me thanks man

  4. Hey bros. So I freakin love my SA-8v.2 it is badass for what it is. (Nuthugging out of the way) I was wondering if it would be a better decision to get a second SA-8 and power it with about 1000 watts or just power the one with 1000 watts? I screwed up when I decided to buy the dvc 4 ohm, i think? Cause I don't think I can get 2 ohm or 1 ohm with 2 dvc 4 ohm? Maybe I can but looking at a chart I don't see it happening unless I use 3 SA-8s. Any help would be awesome.

  5. Ok so here is the situation I'm wanting to get a second SA-8, I currently have one in a L port box off about 600 watts. If i get another one, I will only be powering the both of them with a total of about 800 watts, so 400 a piece. Would I see better (louder) results from putting them both in a L port or in a T-line? I thought that with a t-line you were more efficient with smaller power? Correct me if Im wrong and thanks for the help.

  6. Hey fellas

Just became part of the SA crew. Got my SA-8 in. Thing is heavy ~25 lbs... damn! Wanted to ask a few questions to others that own one of these bad boys. How loud is your sa-8? How much power are you putting to it?

I'm about to get it finished up, got to get the box built and should be done by friday. I plan on powering it with a 900 watt american bass amp. A lot of people are excited to see this beast in action so I hope that 900 watts will make me proud!

P.S. amazing product you made Jacob!

  7. 250a x 14.4 = 3600 watts

    270a x 14..4 = 3888 watts

Those numbers dont really mean much in reality as your going to have battery power and the whole dynamic power side of amps playing music to take into account. Unless your running tones all the time.

Well then are either of those going to be able to handle me driving my Jeep and playing music at the same time?

The 270 and the 250? I would say they would be fine, I meant like your amp is not gonna be pulling max draw all the time, music isn't continuous, so your alt and batteries with have less of a hard time than those sort of numbers say. Its a good thing.

Oh okay. So my alt and amp problem is solved.

Thanks guys once again. I was hoping to get my other questions answered as well if that is no problem. Any other tips as well?

  9. Hi again guys, back again to ask another silly noobish question. You are all very helpful whenever I ask these questions. Well anyways, I was trying to figure out what alternator to pick up. Right now I drive 2002 v8 4.7L jeep grand cherokee, typed in HO alternators for this model and got a list from https://www.dcpowerinc.com/category/high-output-alternators.html?model=Grand+Cherokee&engine=4.7L+V8&make=Jeep&year=2002 ... Right now I have a 135 amp alternator. I plan to grab a 1.5k watt amp, preferably the SAZ-1500D v.2. My main question is which alternator should I pick up to run the amp properly? The link has 4 alts, the two I am interested in are the 250 amp and the 270 amp ones. I remember finding a link saying how many amps your car requires while driving but I can not find it.

Besides this, I was hoping to figure out if I need anything else other than the 1/0 gauge wiring and a nice battery? In anyway will this electrical upgrade cause any harm to my Jeep, if installed properly?

Any other info would be amazing, I am new to electrical upgrades (and vehicles in general) and want to do this install with as little help from a local shop as possible. Forums got great info on them and I am feeling confident, Thanks for the help.

  10. Sup brotato salads, was messing around with RE box calculator. Watched a video by exo and he was showing how to make a box, he recommended using this program. So I made one up and was wondering what you guys thought about it. Unfortunately I can't copy and paste it so the specs i got plugged in are:

    Width: 28

    Height: 18

    Depth (both): 20

    Wood Thickness: 1.5 (double up)

    Port Height: 15

    Port Width: 2

    Port Length 1: 16.5

    Port Length 2: 10

    Total Port Length: 31

    Box Volume: 2.8 ft3

    Tuned freq: 28

You may have to plug in the values at http://reaudio.com/box.php if you want to see some other values or I missed something. I'm new to box building so any help would be awesome. This is going to be powered around 750 watts or 1k (depends on the amp I pick up) not sure if that makes a difference. Thanks for your time gents.
