i think alot of us will agree that damp pro is by far one of the most sought after deadeners. i do like the idea of a tiered discount as well.
just an idea, could always throw free shipping on orders over a certain price
Damp/ Damp PRO
20sq : 10%
40sq : 20%
80sq : 30%
% off can always increase *hint hint

freaky lookin subs man. its a great idea tho. i like how the voice "cylinder" passes through the magnet field but is attached at both ends. coil rub is almost impossible im sure. props for innovation!

lol no worries. i claim to know everything about car audio. kind of a guru. <said me... never
I saw the picture, remembered possibly seeing it somewhere, made a reference, and let the butt hurt ensue.
Honestly i have no idea what speaker it is. If i was completely sure of it i might say theres a troll in the forum!

RS150-4 6" Reference Woofer 4 Ohm
and an image just for good measure..
Looks legit.. but as i said. "either way im looking forward to finding out"

looks like a Dayton audio speaker. pretty quality products. D'amore is constantly pushing to keep ahead in the game and with all their new stuff i wouldn't be surprised if they made some comps. either way im looking forward to finding out!

Completely Jealous..clean simple and sexy. love the look. i wonder if theres a chance these will be available in a different color. not to re-invent the wheel but alot of us guys have red lit interiors. would be cool to see in red or white led

after taking things into consideration, time/ money/ knowledge, i plan to run a 250a alt, do the big 3 in 1/0, a D3100 (biggest i can fit) and runnin it parallel with another D3100 in the trunk. i dont see why this wouldnt work just fine. worst comes to worst i slap another battery in the back if my voltage drop is too much. sound like a good plan?
-
bump for more options, opinions, ideas ?? jus wanna make sure i make the best choice
-
very true and its ok if it takes a month ive got plenty of work to do before its all up and running.
-
okay for 5 thousand watts rms, i think your past the "blasting on occasions" part.
sure it will work with a HO alt and a d3100 under the hood.. but enjoy your 20-30 seconds of "blasting"
for a little car i would imagine that they would offer somewhere around a 200 amp alt in your price range.
since you can fit a D3100 under the hood, i think a D3100 in the back and 2 runs of 1/0 pos and 2 runs of 1/0 neg should keep you around the 13V area.
just did measurements and the D3100 will fit perfectly up front. i see what you mean tho with adding a second battery running it parallel the only thing that concerns me is having the alt charge up two of these batts. i dont wanna strain the alt too much. input taken into account

ok so going off of advice i found a xs D3100 for a decent price, its saying that it can support 4-5kw systems and would replace my stock battery. anyone think this will work or still use a batt bank in the rear. i only have room for one battery in the rear so i might be good getting 2 of these. but honestly im not lookin to go out n compete and will only be blasting in on occasions so do i really need all that extra reserve power?? any input is appreciated

if 450 is your price range i think you should REALLY try out singer alternators.
he will email you a quote within 1-2 days and is very reasonable about the price for a unit.
i sent them an inquiry with as much info as i could. hopefully they can fix me up with something. thanks for the help.
-
Thanks man, i'll try to get ahold of them. im sure theyd have to make me a custom casing for it but the only thing that worries me is that there really isnt any room in the stock location. and i was thinking about possibly getting a second D-35 for the rear, that way the charging/discharge would be the same. you think this will be good enough? heres a link for the battery specs
You want to run 4-8 k watt rms on 1 or 2 yellow tops???
30 sec music or 5 burps and you are under 12 volt´s. 2 XS Power XP 3000 or D 3100 in the battbank and the biggest baddest you can fit on the stocklocation. Equivalent 5-7 of the yellow tops.
it comes out to 4850w rms. with the 2) sub amps at 1ohm and the other 2) comp amps at 2ohms. i wasnt sure if 2 yellows could handle that kind of load. imma go check out some of the xs batteries now, thanks again

thanks mrd6 im gunna take some pics of the mounting area and send them in to the companies see if they can figure somethin out. only thing that sucks is i dont really wanna be spendin 6-7 bones on an alt. i was hoping for more in the 450 range. but we get what we pay for. im assumin they made a custom housing for yours, what was it cost to you if you dont mind me askin?
