  1. You're question was "what would put out more power?", not what do you think is better. Remind me to never go to your shop/website.

Regardless if you came to my shop or not my pockets will still stay fat.

    Great attitude.

I'm not here to impress you, I ask a simple question, I didn't ask were you would go or wat you would do.... Regardless of wat one person says I like to have multiple opinion on products , not base my judgement on a 1 or two people.

  2. you'll be just fine on that power, especially if you want daily.

as for box i havnt worked with any Z15s or really looked into them so not 100% on what they would like, but your setup should be pretty good.

I talk to sundown today , and tech told me my box is a liitle on the big side, but I'm guessing it will push the subs a little harder. They on require 3 cubes each, I'm giving them 3.8 each with about 220 square inches of port total

  3. 3500s on zs will be perfect, could even go up to a single ns-1 or a pair of 4500s at that

but i was originally planning on getting to more power like stated above but TNESPL just created a trunk class with a 4k limit im gonna play in this year, so no power upgrades till the start of next season if i choose to move to trunk pro :D

but they eat my 3500, they are still very stiff too, they laugh at the power practically lol

I'm trying to run four z 15"s on two sundown 3500s in a jeep Cherokee no wall. 15.35 cubic ft box after displacements.

  4. With the dimensions that you gave us, if the box is all single layer, then you have 20.42ft3 gross, if all is single ply with a double ply top then you have 19.78ft3 gross, and if the whole box is double ply then you have 17.67ft3 gross.

Depending on the power that you have, you would be looking at wanting about 3.5-4ft3 net per sub after sub and port displacements.

Which of the 3 options that I posted is how your box is built?

Appreciate the help,,, I went out and bought 13ply birch wood, and the box external dimensions are 43w. 36.5l. 25.5h., I'm using .75 thickness for the wood. Double baffle on top. I was thinking if I did regular ports, I probaly would do two ports that would equal 220 square inches of port with a vent length of 23 inches. Take in mind my port will be on top of my box. I'm looking for a tuning around 33hz. Any advice??????

  5. Hello everybody , I've never used areo ports before but I heard that they can sometimes be louder than rectangular ports. My box is in a jeep Cherokee and it's 19 cubes net before displacements. I want to have about 220 to 240 square inches of port and be tuned to 33 hz. Wat size areos would I need and how many, length, and were to buy. My subs are facing up and I want the ports facing up.

  6. Hello everyone I'm curious about a few things, I heard people say the audioque hdc3s don't like lows. Wouldn't it come down to your enclosure size and tuning/power. How many cubes would it take to get these batboys to drop some low notes (35-30hz). I have a four 15" box that approx can give each sub 3.8 cubes each with two ports that 110 square inches per pair , so basically 220 square inches of port with a port length of 24 inches. I'm wondering will this box work for these subs. I just picked up two sundown 3500s. Let me no wat you guys think.

  7. There's still a lot of port area missing, the holes are cut for 12s, etc. Would be louder if you made your own

I mean The way the box was made you can't cut the box and open the port up some more, originally his port area was 19w 2.5h then he cut it to 4.25 in height. No if I'm correctly your supposed to have between 14 to 16 cubic ft of port depending on the cubic ft in the box, so let's say it's 6.4 per chamber so take 6.43 times 15= 96.75 per side . So total port are for this box needs to be 193.5

Then it if cut and open the port to 5.1 instead of 4.25 were it is now that puts me at 96.9 per side. Then I would cut the port y

Yes it's two ports, sorry I didn't mention that

How is it only 2.9,,,,, 43 times 33 times 22= 31,218 diveded by 1728= 18.06 and my net would be 14.8. Divide that by 4 and u get 3.7 before displacements.

You say per side, so there is two 4.25 by 19 ports? That would change a lot of things

LOL... you just happened to miss you have two ports.... you are tuned to about 34Hz then, each sub get about 2.9 cubic feet. port area 1s 161 sqin.. and everything looks much better
