proper electrical wiring!!
How so? I dont have proper wiring???
big 3? idk i didn't see your sig. do big 3. it never hurts
I have already.

thatd be good as you dont have a ridiculous amount of bass so sound deadener is not really needed now as long as you can deal with a little rattle every now and then. When you put your new components in then you wont be able to hear the rattle lol but seriously id do components, then eq, then sound deadener, then subs. That way you can buy the kind of cheaper stuff after you get components out the way before you pick up the subs. Volt gauge is not really needed as you only have 4 gauge wiring so it cant be draining your battery that bad if you need to get a volt meter out while your car is playing at home at full tilt and check your battery one day lol
Alright, thanks for your response man. I appreciate it.

if i was you, i would buy some fatmat for sound deadener not the best out there but it will get the job done, or i strongly recomend buying some second skin spectrum, for 85 bucks plus shipping it'll be the best stuff for your money you just paint it on and wala your car is sound deadend. Then i would spend a little bit of money on getting rid of those 3 way speakers and buy you a good set of components. Ya an eq would help butttt your putting them on some walmart sonys, you can shine a turd but in the end its still gonna be a turd ya kno? just my opinion...
Yeah, I feel ya on the sonys. Question, what do you think if I go for the components first before the sound deadener?
-
Maybe build a new box for the Kenwoods since the current one you have looks like a prefab.
Yeah, Its a prefab for right now. I dont want to build a new box until I get my new subs over the summer though.
-
Yeah, that could work. I just don't want to spend all I have on deadner though. That shit is expensive. You know?
Would help your components out alot ... and make your interior quiet
How much would deadner cost? And how much would I need?

Welp. I came across 150 bucks. Not much but its a little bit of money, now I'm trying to figure out what path I want to go down.
Should I....
1. Buy a volt meter and a EQ.
2. Upgrade my componets package.
3. Save for RF P2 12's that I want down the line.
I'm stumped because, yeah my componets aren't that great but the EQ would help it out a bit. And my subs still have a little bit of life in them and I should make enough to buy my new subs by the middle of summer. I just cant think of what to do. Ideas?

Welp, tomorrow in Boardman Ohio, at Claytons Entertainment they are holding a Bass Race.
This will be my first competition, so any tips/tricks/advice for me? Anything would be appreciated.

Looks awesome steve. Can't wait to see the finished project.

Well I cant get to the struts, they are on wayyyy too tight so I dont think I'll be using that. And thats just sheet metal.
-
Yeah, I already did the big three and the screw went through the other side so im sure several wires are broke and also heres a picture of my current ground.
-
Welp. Can this be a problem? I must of screwed into it by accident when I was mounting my amps. But could this have anything to do with it? The amps shutting off thing happened before I mounted my amps so Idk if this is a cause of it.
-
Yeah, Give me a few minutes.
-
-
How do I fix clipping though? Retune the amp? Sorry, a bit new to car audio but I'm learning my shit.
-
Another thing was maybe the amp didnt like the 4 ohm SVC wired to 2ohms even though the amp is rated for that? Hes testing the ohms on one of my sub.
-
So I have a 1000Watt Class D Kenwood Monoblock and when I'm bassing really hard and hitting low notes my amp shuts off. I took it to a local car audio store and they looked at it and said that the volts at the amp are fine (it never dipped below 11.4V) and they really couldn't look at it much more without charging me. So heres what happens. I play a song and its bumping fine then just on a low strong note the amp shuts off and then a few seconds it comes back on. The inside channel amp runs just fine all the way through. I honestly have no clue whats up with it so I thought I'd bring it to you guys. I'm gonna try to reground it right now. But any suggestions or advice would be great. If you need to see my stuff its in my sig or in my build log in my sig. Thanks alot guys!
