Ive always used aeros as well its easier to change the tuning to your desired frequency, but your specs look good for the slot.

i was thinkin kicker cvr 8's and a kicker 400.1
Should sound pretty good then. The Dual port design looks good.
-
does anyone think they will sound good.. i like the bottom one with dual ports..
Depends on the drivers, tuning and power used i guess, should sound good with some decent gear.
-
very nice, good job.
-
looks good man, what kicker amp you going for?
-
Oscilloscope
Thats true didn't think about that
-
Not really any way of testing if the amp is clipping, if the gains are set right you should have no problem. I am not familiar with the fi sub so cant help you there sorry but there are many other people on this site who can.
-
From listening to the sub, I did not hear any audible distortion. Is there any way with any volt/ohmmeter that I can test for anything? Or any tool?
no nothing really to test most likely a sub problem, what power is the sub rated for? did the sub just suddenly stop or gradually stop working?
-
when an amp is clipping it sounds like very harsh distortion through the subs.
-
A m/h amp will sound better but running speakers off the hu will be ok too.
