  1. whats the van have in it and what was burp score.i saw window open were was sensor

I did not get full details, but i believe it was 6 15"s, sensor in the traditional legal dash area, with windows down he did 162 and change,

He is the record holder on the extrem class, he metered a 145.5 with the meter outside the van 1 foot from the window

  2. yea, lost a full db with the seat down, put it back up and gained it back. i need to remember to pull the floor mats next time, it was over 100 degrees, it was very hard to get the cabin cool at all, last show i did a 141.2, this show i did a 141.1 with the box tuned 4-5hz lower, it sounds a lot better now with the lower tuning, next up, after market cd player, extra battery, might build a straight SPL box so I can utilize what the DD is capable of, but thi is still fun out of a wine barrel, hehe got 1st place in 2 classes and 2nd in the other.

  3. Im sure there is lots of info on here, but in a rush I have been getting my car ready all night, and Im going to bed, where I will wake up 4 hours from now and go, Any last minute tips on DB increases? I retuned my box, def sounds better, I just found out my passenger seat does this (pic below), crazy, had the car for a while and just figured this out tonight, I will be reading responses tommorow at the event, so any added suggestions will be greatly appreciated. and I took the pic before I washed my car, so there is no bird shit on the window anymore, which I hear can hurt the SPL score

  4. Have you tried this site? http://www.eclipse-web.com/au/support/

I have spoken with eclipse on several occasions, the dude that was making the TI's for them appearantly went to jail a long while ago.

Nothing has been done with them since. Its been a long time since eclipse has had anything made at this level, they are out of the game in other words, or our type of game, lol

  5. You can try PSI (fixmyspeaker.com) or if you have any experience with reconing you could attempt to do it yourself using parts from practically any company that offers recones that just may fit your woofer (i.e. DC, Sundown...etc).

i need to refraze myself i need a RE-FOAM!! not a re-cone my foam is all fucked up and cracked and i can find any who has a big enough refoam for these be sides the W7 yettttt idk if that weird surround could work out with my sub

Your pretty much fucked. You won't be able to repair the surround and have it last like it would if you just reconed the woofers. I know it's probably not what you wanted to hear but that is going to be the best possible route for long term use.

I seriously repaired my surround with gorilla glue and it never came back apart, we are talking years

  6. Oh my goodness that van is amazing.

OP, I'd like to see your numbers when you get an aftermarket head unit.

Was your car rimmed up when you bought it? It looks good:)

    Thanks,

I put the 22s on it, took about 8 hours of work to get them to fit on the front, they slapped on the back just fine though. I did just do a small lift on the back to keep the

fenders from rubbing the tires when I have a full car.

Aftermarket deck will go in in a couple weeks, I just bought another car and shattered the F_ING winshield sunday, it was rreally cool, jag windows are not cheap @*$T&@*#^@#^

so there is a small delay on the deck, hahaha,

Ive got to much going on, im working on putting together an AQ setup in the new car, while trying to get back to finishing the setup in purple, and trying to figure out what 20"s to put on the new car, sell some other 20s that I have that did not fit and been super busy. So, it will all come together in the next month or so

  7. I like those spokes on that mazzarati, but the ones on that impala, a lot overkill, and doubt those could be street legal, you couldnt even park in a parking space because they would stick out into the other spaces, or your own garage

I wonder how many people have gotten legs chopped off from those wheels sticking out into sidewalks

  8. just went through all the pages,

    the enclosure is really sick.

    looks strong as fuck.

and those numbers are pretty good on stock electrical

yea, stock electric, stock cd player, playing audio signal from a phone, hehe, youtube videos were used in several of these tests, an aftermarket CD player will make a huge difference, it proved to be approx a 6db difference in my old car, which was crazy.

I would have alraedy put a CD player in, but I just bought another car last week, so after I get all that straight I will get the new CD player in purplesyrup, and looking at doing an interesting AQ install on the new car.

also, the sub over the last month has really started to break in, I have not taken any vids recently but its now breaking the seal to where the winshield and roof of the car meet, you can feel it sucking in the hot air from outside, along with some good roof flex. will try to get another video soon, ive been preping the jag for whats to come, getting a feel for how to take it apart and put it back together and blah blah blah. will start to build the enclsure as I finish the wine barrel in the next few weeks

  9. reply to all, thanks for all the feedback,

Im not looking to try to blow out the glass or anything, I just wanted to be sure everyone was happy with the performance per price, and get some enclosure size ideas.

I may run it through a meter, but all enclosure I build are for SQ/SPL so they are loud, get low and sound great with music.

So, 1.5 to 1.75 is recommended for the 10,

The design I do will likely be at 2 cu ft tuned to 36.

Again thanks for all the feedback.

AQ seems to be the way to go for a system that will bang well for the price

AMI CUSTOMS, so 1200RMS wont get it moving well? I understand how underrated DD is, AQ being the same company, can relate. But I am going for reliability also.

Keep in mind, Im going for the smash factor in little space. So it stays clean and I can have some room for some cases of wine and groceries (i will continue to optimize my wine barrel to be as loud as possible while still musical, I just need a break in the heat to finish it up.

I am also absorbing all your info, because it looks like we are going to do an AQ HDC3 18" in my stepsons deville FTMFW LOL

I want to keep the white car clean, but the deville Im thinking 6cu ft, tuned low, want to cave in the roof of the car lol

  10. Anyone heard or running these? how do they sound, price per what you get looks badass, I think im gonna do 1 of these 10s sealed into the cab of the white car. since the seats lay down. and keep all the trunk space what size enclosure? not much info on the site, looking at the AQ 1200d to push it,

The fiancee is already complaining about the stereo as she has been driving it back and forth to work.

This should be a cost effective way to add some beats and maybe hit a SPL comp with it for fun

  11. I agree, 100w RMS over rated is nothing, even playing at full tilt, your amp will only put out that highest RMS on certain hz, you would have to clamp the amp to really figure out where that would be, but usually the lowest notes around the tuning frequency are what will draw the most power. where the higher notes from tuning draw less. now this does boil down to how you tune your amp,but you dont want the amp pushing full power far away from the tuning hz because thats when abuse kicks in because the sub can play the notes as well or as loud to begin with
