  1. I would go buy a Autozone or something and have them run a battery tester since your voltage is good.

autozone, and o'riely's both have never accurately diagnosed a battery for me, in the 14 years i've had my license, ive had battery issues here and there, usually from a dead cell or something in the battery under the hood,

Every time they have tested my battery they says its fine, when it turns out, the battery is bad, and the problem I was having goes away when i replace it.

  2. I gave this little thing way to much credit. I expected more power. How do they get away with claiming 1,200 watts? Is there is no industry rating. Can you just stamp a number on anything?

I'd like to see two things dyno'ed. Any head unit, and MTX brand amps!

Like, this head unit can do 200W crystal clear for $40. (50 x 4 MAX) That's an amazing bargain and hugh upgrade over stock right?

And, here's a name brond head unit that also does 50 x 4 with MOSFET, and it doesn't say "max". That's gotta be better than the one above for just $30 more.

last Mtx amp I owned back jn the day was cea compliant and did several hundred watts over rated power.

I think steve did a head unit, I think or maybe a clamp. If I remember right 50w x 4 head units do about 17w rms

  3. well, i found the next model up, AT625 rated at 1400 watts

    MOSFET Bridgeable 2 ChannelAmplifier 2 ohms @ 14.4volts: 700w x 2 4 ohms @ 14.4volts: 350w x 2

    So I would guess the box stats on the AT600 would be 2 ohms @ 14.4volts: 600w x 2 4 ohms @ 14.4volts: 300w x 2

the amp look exactly the same, same size and everything http://www.amazon.com/AUDIOTEK-AT-625S-BRIDGEABLE-AMPLIFIER-CHANNEL/dp/B00597E6MC

  4. x2 on the Hifonics suggestion. I also suggest testing some Audiopipes. Those are the top two most controversial brands I say. Some claim they do rated and some hate them.

Yea I have had this same perspective on hifonics amps every since i got into car audio, they have been so controversial for the 15 years i've been seening them, lets end the controversy with some real results!

Anyone got a big hifoniics amp they can loan steve?

EDIT: my guess would be this, reputable amps seem to do 10-20% over the box ratings, so they exceed specs,

Based off of hifonics price points, watts per dollar, i would guess that they do 75% of the box rating, or approx 25% under box rated power, thats my guess. if the day ever comes, lol

  5. lol, 150 watts max, i still do not understand how you can produce an amp and claim on the box it does 10 times the power it actually puts out, like I said before, these types of products help create some idiots, and teeth grinding questions in the forums, LOL

I would like to see some Hifonics get ran on this, its a very controversial amp line, tons of people claim rated, tons of people say they are shit.

no, not 150max, its 150 RMS, rated up to clipping. Dynamic burst is still rms, it is just closer to what you would expect from MUSIC and not a 15 second sine wave.

the Dyno does not measure peak or max in any way shape or form :)

ahh, i meant to put RMS, lol i had just woke up
