Yes it will be. Havent tried her up yet. But my system is kinda basic tuned/gained with an oscilloscope. Will be fun to try it out. Now i can help my friends to tune there basic setups also some of them doesnt even know what gain is, what lowpass filter is etcetc..
Helping your friends is the best part about the DD-1.

Got the tensioner from the dealer so it must be OEM. As far as getting a shorter belt, is there a specific part number or do I just bring the stock belt and measure againts it?

Took my secondary alternator off last week, winter is apraching, so I'm running the stock belt with a single Mechman 270. The belt is only about six months old, and the tensioner is only one month old but the it is at the end of it's stroke and the belt tension isnt good.
I'm guessing that the belt has stretched abnormally and the small size alternator pulley makes tension worse but if it hasen't then what can I do? Smaller belt?
I know there's lots of guys with this engine and Mechman alternator, wondering if they've had this problem.

Are any of the XP batteries an option? The only thing I don't like about the 1200s is the terminals aren't level with the top, meaning buss bars could be difficult.
If I ever build a battery bank, I'd for sure want flush terminals, like the XP2000 or something like it.

at 1 ohm, you're never going to see full power, after impedance rise.
Hell, you'll probably rarely see 600 watts while wired at 1 ohm on a 1.2k amp.
Explain why a 1200w amplifier will rarely see 600w, and I'm not being facetious. Maybe I'm missing something about impedance.

Don't get me wrong, Top Fuel is the complete opposite of practical, or even useful other than 1/4mi straight lines...it's just the insane physics that make it more impressive to me.

* One dragster's 500-inch Hemi makes more horsepower then the first 8 rows at Daytona.
* Under full throttle, a dragster engine consumes 1 1/2 gallons of nitro per second, the same rate of fuel consumption as a fully loaded 747 but with 4 times the energy volume.
* The supercharger takes more power to drive than a stock hemi makes.
* Even with nearly 3000 CFM of air being rammed in by the supercharger on overdrive, the fuel mixture is compressed into nearly-solid form before ignition. Cylinders run on the verge of hydraulic lock.
* Dual magnetos apply 44 amps to each spark plug. This is the output of an arc welder in each cylinder.
* At stoichiometric (exact) 1.7:1 air/fuel mixture (for nitro), the flame front of nitromethane measures 7050 degrees F.
* Nitromethane burns yellow. The spectacular white flame seen above the stacks at night is raw burning hydrogen, dissociated from atmospheric water vapor by the searing exhaust gases.
I think Top Fuel's are some of the most amazing machines on the planet. They also fucking shake the planet when they launch. So yeah, eat that Bugatti.

You're just using a usb stick or something? If you have an iPod, or any iOS device, they will play .wav files. The only thing to watch out for if you convert to .mp3 is the quality. I don't know if it will affect the actual signal output though.
Try writing the .wav files to a CD? That's the best way to do it.

Like others said, get an alternator first.
But don't be eager to swap out your 2500w amplifier for something bigger right away. Stick to rated power.
Edit: Contact Mechman Alternators, they will set you up right and their shipping costs to Canada are good.
