I like everything about.
the 26mm xamax has me throwed off though.
thats what im saying lol
if its true one way then i might get em... i hated the rubber surrounds on the v1"s
seems to me kevin has miss typed specs (again)

Good video.
So many people think they need isolators without understanding why. The fact of the matter is: most people don't. And the only folks who benefit from it are, as you mentioned, people who play for extended periods with the car off. Like at an indoor show or something
what about keeping a wet cell battery upfront to start the car and run maybe a 4 channel on it
and a bank of AGM's in the back for the sub amps
(cheaper than buying a AGM for upfront)

i love how this is a vendors section and everyone is talking about using a bunch of other companies products if this was in the sundown section and everyone started saying go DC or go DD it'd be world war III lol
O_o i didnt even know it was in a vendor section i thought it was in "general"
secondskin ftw?

I have started to look at Stinger Roadkill and it seems like it will be one of my top choices. you mention that you feel like you wasted money on Audio Technix. Why do you feel this way. Just wanting to hear you oppinion.
What is your opinion on Murdermat? I hear its somewhat the same as Audiotechnix, but I dont have any experience with either of them.
more expensive than Knu and audio technix
basically the same as audio technix and knu
i am officially bias towards deadners after the SECOND time i felt like i wasted money on audio technix
stinger road kill is the BEST (amount/cost/thickness) out their
120 bucks for 80+ mill 36 sq ft
got a "sample" of the old 80 mil (tan adhesive) and it was melted together and all gooey (USPS PRIORITY) so like 4 day transit time
then 3 days later when i got my 40 sq ft of it.. it still had the same problem... all melted to its self (at that time they sold it on the roll)
well i just got my "60 mil" 40 sq ft pack today and its REALLY thin... like fatmat 50 mil thickness im going to have to double layer it which if i knew it would have been this thin i would have just bought another roadkill bulk pack
other than that the rubber "foil" he now uses feels cheap and ineffective (their is a reason thick foil is used not rubber shit)
i did a whole rite up like 6 months ago on all of the deadener ive used
fat mat
hush mat
rattle trap
second skin damp pro
roadkill (and roadkill "Stealth")
2 different types of audio technix (now)
dynamat
and i think ive used some of that cheap shit off ebay a year ago or so (cheaper than fat mat lol)
imho (MY opinion!!!) nothing compares to roadkill for the quantity, thickness and price
if i had no budget id defiantly get secondskin damp pro all day!
but the only suitable replacement in my eye's is stinger roadkill (the stealth is a little thinner than regular)

i did a deal prior with him ( he bought from me and item came damaged) i refunded the money and he worked with me on getting the insurance shit squared away with USPS (which is a BITCH if anyone has ever had to do it)
i know he was having housing issues and car issues last time i talked to him (few 3 weeks ago i think)
sorry if this isnt relevant and i hope everyone gets the shit they paid for or the money back....

Thanks guys , is it better to strap\link the amplifiers or to run it seprately on each subwoofer ?
I always strapped , and never thought of running it seperatly to each woofer.
what are your views?
From my research it'd better to gain match (splits rise and more output)
Strapping drains more current... With less output
But that's what I've read. Haven't experienced it

With those woofers and amps (while they might be good) is say tune to 30-35hz and let her twang...So would the magical 33hz be about the way to go? I at the very least want to hit a 150. The lower I can do that the better.
Meters where invented to disappoint... Ask orionstang
-
I know someone that has done it out of a trunk no wall with less than 5k so I say its possible
Cabin gain like a mofo????
-
Maybe if your tuned in the high 20s
I'm personally gonna say you need more power and won't hit a 150 under 40hz
-
I know I read it somewhere, but I can't seem to remember...
What is the estimated release date on these guys?
Don't quote me on it but I seen Jacob posted on caco I think saying mind April/june
That's after the preorder (no zv4 pre order obviously)
I was planning on getting two 18s if preorder starter here soon (i get my work bonus and taxes within the next 3 weeks) but that is to far away LOL
Wish I could just pay for some "cuztom x-18zz" and have em shipped by the first week of march
-
no
Whoa, sorry, that was a bit of a mistype. I was trying to say that you should try to equal the amp's fuse rating.
Define surpass the amps fuse rating. Are you saying larger than the amps required fuse rating is ok???You'll be fine with either a 250 or 300 amp fuse on each power input. As long as your fuses equal or surpass the amp's fuse rating, you're set.

You don't worry about the amp... You fuse for the wire

Even though I'm using CCA and not OFC? Would I burn up the wire if I used a 300A fuse?
Cca is usually rated 250ish amps @ 20ft length... If your run is under that you'll be fine
Edit.... Fucked that quote up.. I'm on mobile sorry

I'm sure their website has the infoWhat kind of warranty is offered on subwoofers
But this is generally what a subwoofer warranty covers
No burnt coils or leads or physical damage done by the user....
It only covers shipping damage and manufacturing defects
Might be more..

im not saying its for me personally im just saying it might help people on a budget
and selling a wet cell isnt gonna profit much more than like 50 bucks depending on how old it is
