shit ill buy the current version and will never complain!
anything will be better the resetting my stinger volt meter daily

Prob no issues with them, but sitting that low is not good for them. Doesn't mean if they fall below 12.6V while being stored that they are totally junk though. They def do not have a bad cell from what you have told us though. What I would expect happened was they were not fully charged when you took them off the charger and put them in the box. Batteries right off the charger will show you a residual charge which is higher than the actual resting voltage.
Best thing you can do is to get them fully charged and then let them sit for 24 hours and see what the voltage is sitting at. The key thing here is getting them fully charged.
what is a good floating voltage number/full charge? my tiny charger wont float over 13.4-13.5
after about 2 days after a 24+ hour charge all 4 of them are resting at 12.9 (as of today)
-
well all have been charged overnight/part of the day and they are all siting @ 13.xx hopfully nate chimes in on the possible damage(if any)
ill be keeping them in the house till i get them installed/watching them daily to make sure there isnt a drastic drop in resting voltage
-
If they aren't and you sell items, I got dibs. Lmfao!
lol im sure the cells are fine i just wanna know if i should expect less output from them... low life?
if it is caused by the cold how am i suppose to keep the voltage up during a wisconsin winter... lol
-
thanks guys i got them back up to 13s floating around 13.4 right now
i hope there ok
-
well i got 3 d975s and a d925 all of them are where brand new and less than 6 months old
after my jimmy build stopped (due to engine then tranny problems) i took all of them out
charged em up (i have a cheap 10 dollar charger from harbor freight but its only 1.5a and it doesnt charge over 14v from what my DDM says)
link to my charger
http://www.harborfreight.com/automatic-battery-float-charger-42292.html
and put them in their box's for about a week and brought them out charged em (they where all sitting @ 12.8ish)
its been maybe a week to 10 days since the last charge and all of them are reading 12.3-12.4!!!!!
the only thing i can think of is we had a pretty bad temp drop (from 50s at night down to about 30 or lower)
could this cause them to drop like that?
they are in my storage shed which is not climate controlled
i have them on a friends charger for now battery tender from advanced autoparts
how fu*kd are they?
i mean they are still above 12v but from what i read and the reaseacrch i did you have to keep them above 12.6 otherwise sulfur deposits will collect on the cells

port tuning????????
how many cubes? that box looks massive lol
(my vvx 12s are on their way!!)
-
i would just preffer to organize them make sections amps subs and so on its hard to go trought it all
that would be nice
along with smd forums on tapatalk.... i hate it when im at work and have to load up the "mobile" version that have the time wont let me sign in because of a ghost pop up

i love how xda developers do it (for selling phones/tablets)
500 min posts or 1 year min
( to be come a power seller you must have several site references)
if its your first transaction a moderator will receive the payment/item and ship/send to you/buyer
but those guys get paid for it/their job
must be 18 to buy/sell/trade or parents must do it (to avoid stupid problems that a high schooler could cause i.e. shipping late cause missed school bus/city bus lol)
im sure there is a way to "hide" the for sale/wtb/wtt section until you have 150 or w/e posts
im sure most of the moderators/admins are to busy to worry about stupid stuff tho (not saying this is a dumb idea)
i think n8baller/any mod should just insta ban anyone without the proper post count/join date that post in those sections

i dunno how fast your going to be doing your build
but i just ordered the subs and amp will be ordered when i get home (tomorrow)
im going to be doing alot of deadning within the next week or so... hopefully have full build done within the month (i work 58-64 hours a week 2nd shift)
but maybe then you can get an idea on what you wanna do
-
i always do a good full layer on the inside of the door and peice up the outside of it
i know alpha damp say that you done need to cover the whole thing (25% i think)
and if your walling off the trunk i wouldnt worry to much about trunk rattle (get cheap stuff for that)
(someone else may be able to chime in about the trunk thing)
and im sending you a pm

need a price check on 2 12s
level 4s
and
XLs
fuck it throw the level 5s on if you can
ford mustang walled off trunk build coming soon????!?

my d975s which are in the back of my jimmy seem to be doing the same thing (not major swelling but they are not FLUSH )
i dunno they never see over 90 degrees and alt charges @ 14.6 for about 2 minutes then once engine is hot voltage drops to about 14.2
i also bought all 4 of my batts from audiosavings...
id take a pic
post it
then contact xs power
audiosavings is a hassle to get anything replaced took them 2 weeks to finnaly send my 2 sets of components that i bought used (stated new on ebay)

it is no way my fucking fault you use a shitty blackberry to read your emails... and cant figure out how to download .pdf files
i assumed you where smart enough to do that....
i have txt messages that i can upload that PROVE you said 5-7 db
stop being a fucking idiot... i told you two weeks from may 14th the LAST txt message i got from you was "ok sounds good"
that bracing in MY box design is more than enough....
ill say it one more time.. i couldnt open the pictures cuz the phone wouldnt let me! not becaue i dont know how? I never once said 5-7 db i said 5 and meant .5 i just forgot the "." i also told you that. I could never see the bracing you wanted or anything so i went ahead and braced it because these are not 2x4s they are only wooden dowels an inch thick.. now that everything is changed and how you want it you can look at the pictures i sent you and reply.
again its my fault you didnt try to use your laptop?
you said you used your black berry
lol
i want all measurements depth, with, high
port wall length and anything else you can measure before i ever think of driving 3 hours away to get a box thats now officially a hack job
-
I have two all threads front to back and 1 dowel side to port. Who chose 1" dowels? Was it a money thing/customer thing? On those long side to side pieces I would have used all thread, and I'd never use smaller than 1.5" dowels, unless the distance is extremely short.
i only wanted 3/4 in at first then he said he will check pricing on threaded rods.... and got i believe 1 1/4 dowels
-
and if you try to call me a liar again i will post EVERY email and EVERY txt message i have from our communication to let the general public know what the fuck is really going on....
it is your fault you couldnt figure out how to open the pics (even though when i first sent them you said thats a nice box design and you where glad you didnt have to make one for me)
it is your fault there was no communication till last week when i finally was ready for pick up and you said you didnt start it
(you then tell me you "kinda started already")
it is my fault for expecting you to do what i ask knowing full well i should have done it my self
it is my fault for not asking you 30 times if you know how i want the top baffle and sub position
it can go both ways
but if i was building a house for someone... and only had the dimensions you damn well better believe i would ask for a blueprint or any details that they have NOT provided!
your communication is whacked bro....
this should have not went public until you had the box designed to MY specs and liking
BTW i want a measurement with a pic of the port wall cuz that doesnt look like 35.75" deep
but hey pictures can be deceiving

that port wall doesnt look long enough either..... this box is tuned hella low for a reason...
-
well i have nothing really good to say about this as you went into left field without telling me...
i emailed you at the beginning of may... 2nd to be exact... we talked for a few days about the build, how much it would cost, when i would pick it up...
i emailed you dimensions of the box i wanted build and 6 pictures of the blueprints... how i wanted the dowels, port, and what material to use..
there was a 2 week period where there was no communication between you and me.. (for various reasons on both sides)
you did someone elses box and then when i emailed you a week ago you told me you where "kinda started already" which to me seems like you maybe had a few cuts done.. (i was ready to pick it up on the time i told you i would... the weekend of june 2nd )
after giving you another chance at it... you start the build it looks really good and once see you have the subs mounted not how i wanted them i became upset... let alone that dowel mess you call bracing.....
from what ive seen their will be a loading/unloading problem since 2 of the subs are mounted over the port wall and 2 firing down onto the 45s at the bottom of the box... air/fluid dynamics are not that hard to under stand...
you claim you never got the blueprints... even though if you got the dimensions you HAD to get the blue prints as their in the same email that i forwared to you from the guy that helped me design the box.... i have a 48 email convo to prove all of this along with proof that i forwarded you the blueprints.. how i wanted it done... and the day i will pick it up... let alone the 200 plus txts we have (thank god for android/txt message back up...
im sorry you dont know what a .pdf file is
im sorry you think this build will give me a 5 db higher score than my original design (later he claimed it was a .5 db increase not the 5-7 he claimed before)
here is what the box was suppose to look like

nathan said not to run XS with other brands, in reality it shouldn't be done anyway. But we need to know what amps, ohm load, vehicle alt specs, etc, before telling you anything.
Actually Nathan said running XS with other brands is not preferred but is possible.
You DO NOT want to run XS or any AGM batteries with a battery of a different type or chemistry. Example, a wet cell die hard will not mix with a XS agm type.
It is not ideal but Optima and XS batts can be compatible.
he told me that even other brands of AGM batteries can cause the over all lifetime of the xs battery to wear down due to different resting voltage...
sorry had to post that lol
dead amp??

We tried the rcas from my 4channel (pulled up next to him and ran my rcas from my headunit to his amp)
0 ac voltage came out when i hooked up my dmm to the speaker outputs and played a 40hz tone full tilt
What components in a amp could/would cause the speaker outputs to die with it?
When we hook it up in my car tomorrow we will crack it open and take a few pics
