is there anyone here who has gotten something via ups freight , i am expecting some cv xls-215's monday and i am not sure if i need to have a friend hang out to help me get them off the truck or if the driver will get them off , or how exactly this will go .
-
well they might be worth checking out , but chances are good that they aren't that nice
-
that would be my guess that they are toasty as duck put it
-
yeah i don't know ?my guess is the 1 is blown and the rest may be have blown or abused

really any battery will improve your electrical reserve , if you could fit a 2nd batt under the hood and wanted to go cheap and add another stock batt that would be an improvement . i was reading a thread last week guy was saying what a noticable difference there was from adding a very small batt . if you are looking for a batt to put in the trunk or cab you should look for sealed spill proof batt . but really any battery you add should help . in my opinion
-
Well, I'm not quite sure how to do that, I have to research some about it but my future plans are to add an amp to power my speakers. Hopefully the cap will help with the power drain but I might need a second battery anyways.
Cheers
connecting a batt would be the same as connecting a cap connections wise which 1 would be better i still haven't formed my own conclusion . i have used a street wires cap with my mrp-m500 amp and noticed an improvement in sound quality and my alternator gauge quit dipping so much . after spending some time reading on smd i am looking at batteries , i am thinking i will run a batt and a cap . if you do buy a cap don't buy boss or some other no-name shit , the old saying of you get what you pay for holds true . i would buy a streetwires cap again , or anything wireing from rf , stinger don't look bad ether

never seen 1 of those , i would like to have for my collection though . mythbusters built something similar in principle to that except it ran off the drive shaft of a mercedes diesel car and had a 5 foot cone

i think jeep is like any other auto company , they have done some great things and some not so great things . my opinion is that it comes down to a matter of taste . i don't mind chevrolet but my best friend wouldn't be caught dead with 1 . different strokes for different folks .
if you like it, my advice is to keep your jeep , take care of it . fix it improve it and so on .this way you will know exactly what you have got .
i have been there trying to sell a vehicle for a fair price being %100 honest and fourth coming only to have some dick-weed shit out the mouth about my vehicle and ultimately not buy it after low ballin the piss out of me .just don't hardly seem worth dealing with all that bull .

x2 plan on replacing the boss amp , even if you can it to bump or sound ok it won't last . the cheap models of pioneer head units are not bad at all for the money , from the last couple years . another thought for you is when you go shoping for a head unit crutchfield will give you the mounting kit and wire adapter if you purchase a deck for $130 or more .
-
would like to buy a cheap oscilloscope to set amp gains and evaluate pre-amp level signals . would like to find something in the $100 range but i realize that might be a tall order so i would be willing to spend more if i had to , so let me what you have if you have a spair scope you want to sell . thanks . pm or reply to this post .
as of now i think i found a tpi440 thankyou
-
that's the way it goes when a guy is trying to sell something , i picked a 60's vintage hiawatha bicycle of the curb and sold it for $40 cash a yrar and a half later , advertising it the whole time . when i did find my buyer he drove from over 2 hours away to get it .
-
i wouldn't totally call that bs either , people are funny . i would never pay that much for a shifter to make a car exactly like it was from the factory but there are people who will .
-
just to update i got the cv-900 today and it definitely drives my big vegas better than my theater amp did , but i think i was expecting a little more .the amp isn't the cleanest i have ever heard but it isn't offensive to my ears most of the time . i have a tripp lite power conditioner coming and i am hoping that will improve things a little .
the bass was making my vegas start walking quite a few times

hard to go wrong with 15's

i can't answer , but that sub has caught my eye , at $130 i may very well end up buying a pair in the near future .
-
gotta love gods creatures , probably get out of there and try to remember the good bro . in the mean time until you find someplace to move , i suppose damage control , hide you shit , or get a lock box or foot locker or something .
-
my bad , totally agree with chris about the clean power
-
that don't suprise me that some vc's are darker colored brand new , the sub i had in question was one i purchased off ebay , i had 2 of them already and the vc's on the 2 i have are nice and shiny copper looking , but the vc on sub i bought off ebay is black . i didn't clip the shit outta nothin here
-
just thought i would update , i got a different amp today and swapped for the amp i had when i posted this and the noise gone . guess the first amp was a dud . thanks for all
-
thanks for the suggestion , but the amp you suggested is big overkill for 1,2 i would have to run a 220volt line to be able to plug it in . i hope the cv-900 isn't shit cause i bought it , should have it next week .
-
think the black color is indicative that some one has overpowered or clipped the shit out the sub and got lucky it didn't fail

Same thing happend to my RE Sxx the other day to some Tech n9ne haha go figure. strange music FTMFW. sending it in tomorrow for warranty. Might sell it and go to fi or sundown or AQ, good woofer just idk shouldn't be getting as hot as it was off my brz 1200.1
OP check coil resistance, report abnormalities.
dmm the sub and if it reads the right ohms, it is not "Bad".
not to thread jack , but say you have a sub and you can see the voice coil is black as nite, but it reads good on the ohms , should a guy be leery of said sub ?

UPGRADE: 1 Woofer 1 Amp or 2 Woofers

if it were me i would get the subs both at the same time so they loosen up together , instead of having 1 new and 1 that has seen some play time
