  1. Ok then that's what I'm Gunna do then. Was just checking opinions. & yes I was going to wire to 2 ohms

just know the in the future if you buy another amp, your kinda kimited to 2 ohm amps, because 1 ohm amps are going to be way harder to find a lot of power at 2 ohms ( just sayin)

Won't be buying another amp for awhile. & can always sell this one.

These will be tuned to 32hz. Not trying to win comps but want them to get low and a little loud

  2. No

I think homedepot wouldn't do that or would mess it up...and I just sold one of my cvxs

    So tomorrow I'm ordering 2 obsidian audio 12 dvc2's and I'm Gunna run them off a zx1500.

So that box would be almost perfect for them

Just go to home depot with a cutlist, glue the pieces together and you are done, won't really cost, just a few hours on a weekend.

  3. It shouldn't be too low, but the fact that you said buy makes me nervous that this is a prefab box. details on said box?

It's a box my friend built 8 months ago for 2 dc lvl 4 12s.

He's going bigger and doesn't need it anymore so he's selling it to me for 60$ & a shrunkien bt-120 for 200

  4. Sundown E15s....great budget woofer. But as stated in some previous posts....you could be just as loud with a couple 8s or 10s and nail the lows at the same time. Just a thought

Good 8s are expensive and don't hit how low I want and id need a lot to be loud, I'm prob just putting my second 12 in a 3.5 cube box with a cube of port in addition. Unless some buys my amp

    I disagree with that,

Not all good 8" are expensive, they only are when you price it on cone area, and not quality,

And as for not hitting low, that's a load of crap mine go down to 25hz no proble (can't go lower factory built in subsonic) an are still loud enought down there that you can fell it in your chest,

The depth that an 8" can go has little to do with the sub but more the enclosers, so if yours never got down its because you tuned it too high

Ive never had 8s but my friend just got 4 dc lvl 2 8s so ill see how they sound.

Probably going with 2 obsidian audio 12s in a box built for dc lvl 4 12s. So that would be perfect

  6. That's a lot of idk's :)

Why down grade the amp. If you have the remote gain, just keep your fingers from cranking it up all the time. Extra power is a great thing, and it will be there if you want to use it for short periods of time.

Haha I know it is but I'm in the middle of thinking what I want to do.

& I believe the zx has the remote bass level the actual gain is on the amp its self. I have it ran to the front of my car under the dash but just unhooked

  7. With out running the numbers I already see some problem

    36w -(2x15.5") and 1.5"wall "32.5

Only leaves 2.75" width for port

And 38sq" is not enough port for 2x 15's

Yes cone is king on low power but I feel you'll get a better outcome and output form 2x 12"

Well Joe x already designed me a box for 2 15s with aero ports.

But I know a kid that wants to sell me a dual 12 box he built for 2 lvl 4 12s dc that I would put my 2 cvx 12s in

And he has a shrunken Bt120 he used for a few months thts been charging ever since he wants to sell me both for 260 idk if I should do it. I got a 2011zx 1500 wired up now I was Gunna downgrade but idk

  8. Why do they have to be 500 or less,

That's pretty dumb, as you'll rule out some quality equipment,

Noone has ever blown a sub due to under powering,

    What's the budged

    Amp mdl

Size restriction/space avaible (this is the most important)

    Car

Sub/port config if ported or sealed

And what do you want to achive

I'm trying to get loud on low power. Hit low. Don't want over 1krms cause don't want to do a big batt in my 98 gtp 4 Dr.

Trunk setup, max dimensions are 15.5h 36w 31d

    I want a efficient setup. 2 500w 15s would be louder than 1 1000w 15

  9. Ok so I'm revisting this subject cause I got the money to do it even though I didn't sell all my amps and subs yet.

    I want 2 15s

They have to be 500rms or lower each.

I ruled out p1s cause the kicker comps are better but need bigger boxes...

    Any suggestions would be great.

Small box requirment subs is what I'm looking for

  10. 12" kicker L7 with a max of 2 cubic feet BEFORE any displacement. Amp is a Memphis MCD1000.

Main question is should I just stick with a sealed box for this one or a small ported box? If I go ported how much area? I was thinking like 16sqin per cube and tune mid 30s...34-36hz. I been messing with Torres calc and maybe im retarded but I cant seem to get the right amount of port and get the tuning I want. Any help?

Honestly dude just stick with sealed. After displacement and port your looking at 1.3 or less

    Invert if you can also

  11. I have a brand new kicker zx1500.1 2011 model I'm selling birth sheet says 1650 at 2 ohms.

    Asking 450 for it

Also have another zx1500.1 2011 model that I used to power a single 12 for 3 weeks never put the gain past 1/4. Ran it at 4 ohms. Birth sheet say 1683 at 2 ohms.

    Asking 400 for that

    Little neg
