So with the second battery I'm putting in my trunk I should just run my now power wire to the positive on my alt and use the run going to my trunk? & no big 3 would be needed then correct?
As of right now my 1/0 is attached right to the post on my fuse box where the alt drops power off to. Can I keep it like that and just connect to my rear battery cause how I see it its the same thing. Fused on both sides of course
Your best path to do this is to simply do a Big 3 (1/0 engine ground, 1/0 to your main battery, and 1/0 from your main battery ground to chassis)
And then to run a 1/0 from the main battery positive to your rear battery positive.
The whole point of a Big 3 is to in theory get maximum output from your alternator by increasing the wire size (causing less resistance)
I plan on doing a big 3 in the upcoming week or two.
But ok it looks like that's what I'm going to do I already have a 0 gauge run going to the rear.

Defiantly go with knuconceptz wire. Over the best for the cheapest.

im not saying anything other than saying not to use an isolator. im not saying it is ok to mix battery types.
Haha so unrelated to this post do you think its a problem to mix batterys or not?

Running Wet Cell and AGM together is not a good mix. Check out this. It's an isolator that you connect both bats and your alt to and charges each one individually so they aren't ran in parallel.
I'm guessing if I got that I would have to run a second run of 0 gauge
-
It should be fine. Have you done the big 3?
I have not done the big 3 yet, I will once I order another 10ft of knu 1/0
-
For a little while yes. But in the long run you'll destroy that bt 120 mixing it with a stock wet cell batt.
What kind of long run are we talking here...like 2 years?

Even though it says 420 @ 2ohms it puts around 505rms at 2ohms.
Solid amp, perfect for around $400

Sorry forgot the link, here it is. Sonic ran out of them but you can get them other places such as eBay.
It's putting out a lot more than it says for rms. It says 750.5 but its really a 950.5 that it puts out
-
Hey I got a question, would a stock battery + a shrunken bt-120, with a 130amp alt powering everything be enough to keep a decent voltage playing my zx1500.1 running at 2ohms putting out around 1600rms.
Or would that still not be enough
-
That would work depending on what are the max dimensions you have to work with

Dc audio xl 12n2 & aq2200.1 & all knukconceptz 1/0.

The cop probably heard someone else bumping & couldn't find them & just got you instead it sounds like

Have you considered doing a center console of subs from the front of the truck all the way to the back with say 3 or 4 12s, it would get loud & you would still have 4 seats in the truck.
Also if you don't want that my friend has 2 10s under the rear seat of his 05 ram 1500 quad cab & 1 10 in the center console which gets pretty loud for sealed
-
A zx2500 will put that out at 4 ohms but there expensive

Well someone already got me a few months ago and did every window on my car except the windsheild...I'm only getting people I know
-
Are we talking like 5$ ?
Cause AutoZone is much closer to me
-
Haha that's the point, last day of ny senior year is Thursday,
Would AutoZone have them maybe?
-
Hey I need help finding where I can buy those window markers for cars, you know so you can draw on a car window but it washes off... They use them at some car dealerships.
If anyone knows a store they might be at that would be great thanks

I'm curious I have some pc fans to use for my amp to keep it cool but how should I power them, I've heard the remote wire is a bad idea but idk
-
The set screw doesn't move, the wire like breaks apart and slides out cause I think its a crapp connection
-
No I removed the screw to see and its in there, I just took a little drive before and it stayed in, I will take more of "my kind" of driving in a lil bit to see if they stay and wit the amp mounted
-
Haha yea its fused, that's the first thing I did. It's secure for now I just screwed down the amp for now.
If it comes out again I'm going to get some 0 gauge reducers to 4ga which should be fine
-
I don't know how to post pictures, & I cut like 50 off mybe....I do have a good amount of slack and my amp slides around when I drive but the connections should be more solid. I just mounted the amp to the floor hopefully that will help
What's good wire?

That's what I got in my car, its awesome,
It's actually bigger then other awg 0 gauge
