i kinda figured that it was best but i've never seen or heard one with subs and port up and wanted to try it out
-
all my boxes have been sub up port back. just want to play around with something new. see what i can do with that. everyone in my area does the subs up and port back
-
20 high, 60 wide, 38 front to back. its only 20 high because i want to stay below the windows. its going in a full size blazer and i want to stay behind the 2nd row of seats
just an fyi
-
what if i ran the port in the center front to back with 2 subs on each side? better
-
what if i made the port length to 13?for the extra cubes
-
ok ya i forgot to say it will be double thick all the way and have bolt bracing
-
ok thanks for being honest and i have loved your input on the subject you have made some very valid points. and i'm looking for sq and spl.
-
how would i do a double baffle? not even quite sure what a baffle is to be honest
-
could i do that and still stay under my windows? if so how
-
what would be a good way to fix that? what would be the stationary boundry?
-
just do a giant build and use the weight to lower it!
-
its my everyday driver and i would like to see out of my back window. and im trying to stay in a lower class if possible
-
this may be a dumb question but what is port loading and could that be fixed and still leave the port up. my issue is that with the port back it doesnt allow for enough cubes and still stay under the window

what can i do to the box to fix it?
-
i will be using 4 15" power acoustik mofos on a hifonics bre2500d. this is what i have now
-
the box has 22.86 cubes and 220 inches of port tuned to 35 hz. it will be in a 92 full size blazer subs up port up. port will be by back window. never built a spl box and need all input i can get.
-
i've done it a few times and as long as you take the board out its not that bad
-
yes as long as it didnt fry anything else. just make sure they have the same numbers on them so you know the + and - are in the right spots
-
that sucks i just had a ssl 5000 do that to me
-

i have 4 power acoustik mofo 15s dual 2 ohm wired at 1 ohm 1500rms, 3000peak each. at the moment i have a hifonics brutus elite 2500d on them and i would like to upgrade. i would like to stay at 1 ohm. i have around 500 to spend on a new amp. what would be a something in that price range that would power them correctly?
