After this it was headunit in, and why not some autometers at the same time.....

Headunit was easy, however the pillars weren't, because of all the dust i only have one shot and that was of the test fit before trimming.....

And then thats a short run down on how it all came together, thanks for looking! :)

  2. So on to the build pics.....

First off this is the old system.....

This set up consisted of a Pioneer DEHP80RS headunit, Pioneer TSC171PRS splits running active, Clarion DPX2251 amps x2 and a Clarion DPX11551 running a Memphis PR15.

This was a pretty sweet set up for daily tunes but the time came to get serious for the SQ comps. So that's when the new install was about to start.

  3. Cheers guys, I forgot to mention but I guess you probably gathered I'm from Australia haha. I'll get some build pics up as well as some night time pics as the perspex under the amps looks great at night.

As for the headunit I love it, it is an awesome bit of gear. But as was said if you werent competing in SQ comps or planning on running a 3 way active front stage I would probably stick to something like a deh-80prs, all the tuning features without the 4 way crossovers. As for the sound its goes great, I compete in expert class at out national MEASQ competitions and although the setup is new it has done quite well so far.

I do have a daily tune and comp tune though and with the daily tune the subs get down nice and low for two little 10's, and the splits go very loud with HEAPS of midbass.

  4. Hey everybody, my names Josh and this is my 1994 Holden Commodore VR SS BT1.

It's an SS which is the sports version so it has a 5 litre V8, and BT1 stands for ex highway patrol car. This is obviously an older version of the current Holden VE Commodore, which is your Pontiac G8. After having a few SPL systems, my best one in a Hyundai Excel that featured 5 x 12" subs, 18,000w RMS and hit a best of 154.5db on music, it was time for a change so here is my SQ system in my daily driver.

It has been packed full of Pioneer Stage 4 and Stinger HPM goodness, however first off here is the car.....
