trying to figure out what box to build for my two alpine 10" swx1043d's. Joe x was awesome enough to give me plans for the first box which im leaning towards and was going to build before i talked to my buddy lol. he said that i would gain 3 db for putting the subs back in the same chamber and port back. if i would have just kept my mouth shut and just built the box joe x gave me i wouldnt be in this problem lol. well let me know what you guys think thanks homies

yeah you need to weld it. or 3m has a panel patch glue that you could use to glue a piece of sheet metal bigger then the crack (after you drill holes at the end of each crack to prevent them from getting bigger) try the 3m glue i am in collision repair and ive used it a couple times and it is strong a shit lol. its literally used if you dont want to weld something its supposed to be just ass strong im pretty sure

PM questions if any as I don't check so frequently this section.
hey wow thanks alot man i appreciate it. im going to make this box either today or tomarro. is this box good for spl, sq, or both? what are the benefits of running the subs up, port back? im fairly knew to the whole box design thing lol only thing i can really do is cut the wood and put them together lol. what program do you use? thanks again man. ill post some videos of the build and final results if any one cares...........one more question... are thoes pieces in the corners included in this box or will adding thoes add more displacement?
-
Have you taken a tape measure to the cargo area to see what you want to work with, dimensions wise? We need a width depth and height that you can be comfortable with. Best configuration for that vehicle would most likely be both suns firing up and port to the back. Port along the bottom of the box.
bass box pro reccommends a sealed box for them. i want a ported tho. you think i should go subs up port back?
-
just take the cover off and look for anything out unusual. burn marks. maybe look on google and see if you can find a picture of the insides of your amp and compair
-
good old chevy durango trick lol
-
well the width is a little over 43 inches at its narrowest point and a little over 36 long. i think thats what your asking for right?>
-
i pretty sure i dont have any size restrictions. i just want to get the most out of them that i can. im replacing my hd12 with them so id like as much as i can get lol if that makes any sence.
-
yea i would say go for the 8s
