  1. You need to adjust your subsonic filter settings, the woofer is unloading...the tinsels simply do not snap unless you are pushing the cone farther than you should be.

i have the rockford t20001 and all it has is on and off for the subsonic filter. besides im not pissed that it blew i was an asshole at a local competition and i turned the gain on my headunit up for one track. im pleased to say i got over a year and a half of perfect use out of it before this happned.

  2. hard wire them with some speaker wire then you can take your longer leads and put them and your wire from the amp into the spring terminals together. just make sure you tape/ziptie the longer leads to the basket so they are not slapping on the spider or cone too much.

aha, ok i wasnt even thinkin about jus bypassing the soldered tops of the sprint terminals all together. thats awesome. thanks alot man

  3. If it's just your tinsels, you can just re-solder them. Unless they ripped out from in the cone...

no they didnt rip from the cone jus from the spring terminal tops. if i re-solder them it seems as if there wont be enuf slack for them to move up and down as much.

  4. lol, what about me i did the hole titorial :( , my pioneer did that till i did this and it works perfect, but dont ground at the amp, u ground at the headunit or it wont work, mines been like this for a yr now and its played fine, hope this fixs ur problem, it did mine

dude listen... i dont know how else to say this but i mean this in the straightest way possible... i love you dude! Yo the RCA grounding worked man its legit. Its not just your car or some freak thing! this works! static is completely gone and now my speakers are so ridiculously loud and clear that its awesome! thanks man you dont know how much it really means to me on a more serious note and im glad there was somebody on here that had info that was helpful and worked. thanks man.

oh dude sorry my apologies then you are most certainly the man! and now this kid has a chance to be the man also but only because you are the original man i hope it does the trick too man thanks ill let you know

  6. Dunno about grounding to the battery, I'd save that as last resort.

Have you tried grounding the RCA's? Since I've heard Pioneer head-units are prone to RCA noise unless they're grounded.

ground the rcas? ive never heard of that before. Well my friend actually has a kinetic in the back of his car and thats where the amps are essentially being ground too, so i guess the battery idea is already being used in effect? unless the kinetic doesnt really count as ground it to the "battery". I know i may sound like a moron but could you explain what you mean by grounding out the rcas? It seems like my last resort.

  7. its static coming through the speakers when i have a cd in... not fm or am radio and not just random noises from the car... the noise actually begins as soon as the head unit is on and when the music fades out you can hear it.. but you cant hear it when it is turned up

ok so if its gonna help maybe it is roadnoise? i dont know all i know is that there is a sound coming from the speakers and its def not music and its gotta be effecting the quality of the music so please if anybody knows at all.. respond.

  8. Ok i have had about a year long problem now. In my friends toyota matrix we have had a problem with roadnoise, or at least thats what we thought it was. My friend went ahead and tore apart his whole car and dynamated the whole thing and then we ran the rca's in the roof and the power lines on the floor, but there was still road noise! so we took out his amp to his subs and his subs because that seemed to be defective and we thought ok it must have been the defective amp.. wrong again! so what we have noticed is that its not really road noise but rather just static for when he steps on the gas the sound does not fluctuate it just stays the same. Now i will say just in case there is no explanation for this that at one point he had a short in his car... but then it magically disappeared.. so i dont know if it has to do with that... but there is the whole story so if there is any input or ideas please let me know thanks!
