Good share of info, those sound can be really annoying.

Send all you can to the front.
Agreed !
-
Those subs should be in a 1.6 sealed according to r/f, so if the box was built to mgf specs. then it should total about 3.2 cubes..
Hmm from the looks of that I think you probably would be safe with a 12 ported.
-
I took a look at some pics and looks like can possibly do a 15" depends on the height , a 12" or possibly 2 10's, with some trunk to spare, all potred of course.
-
I am no where near the trunk. which was why i was sorta hoping someone who already owned a ford focus could tell me
ok mann, hope some one chime in who has one.
-
Max dimension you have to work with in the trunk?

Stating a budget is very important.

Pilot drill your way to the required size.

sorry for the double post

Both series are good, choice would be dependent on your goal, budget, listening taste, space etc...
Give us a budget for the amp and sub, we would better be able to give recommendations.

"Best" will always be subjective.
True.
Good suggestions is more like it.

Should I try to build my own box? Or is there a "better made" box than the ones posted?
Building a box to the subwoofer specification, your listening taste and specific vehicle would be what you need, instead of a pre fab box. You can get a lot of help on this forum. If you are handy and have some tools I can design a box for you and give you the drawing to build. Pm me if and when you are ready.

For starters buy a decent component set either 2 or 3 way and decent amp if possible. Do some reading up on setting up an sq system to get insight, there are alot of info available online.
-
Ditch the sub and box, amp is decent.
And yeah sundown is where you should be looking.

just follow the wiring option # 1 or the diagram above given by ant the ninja.
As for the amp connection, the amp has 2 pairs of connection terminal with each pair having a +ve and a -ve.
So after wiring up your sub you are left with one positive wire which goes to a positive on one pair of the amp terminal, and the negative wire from the sub goes to the negative on the other pair of the amp terminal.
Make sure you set the gain properly on the amp because the woofer is 600 w rms and the amp would giving you double the power the woofer can handle at a 2 ohm load, that is the gain would have to be set relatively low. Make sure you read up on how to set your gain properly.
-
You need to give proper info, is it a dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm woofer?
-
Good luck on th build mann, nice truck.

This is probably a stupid question but what are Direct Leads and what are the advantages of them?
Thanks guys!
There is no stupid question, but the can always be stupid answers.
