Try this for an 18" expensive but worth every cent !!! http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=293-666

Fi Q series or AA Havoc in a sealed box.
In a properly designed ported box.
JMHO and preference.
-
H=12
W=30
D= 12
This gives 1.82 cuft internally.
Box would be fine to run your subs.
-
Give some info on the box you have :
Height ?
Width ?
Depth?
Wood (wall thickness) thickness ?
-
With that size, better of making it ported.
-
No it wont hurt sound quality, it would hurt the subs. That box is way too big.
-
My vote would be on the sundown saz 1500.
-
also.. im running 1500rms to my SSDs all day no issues so.. 1 1000rms amp will not even move them lol
if you run 1 big amp, get the D1s and wire the amp at .7
Yes a one amp solution is better and the subs takes more than rated ....
-
ok, now I am re-reading the thread , I realize that I over looked it, if you get the dual 1's and run each sub to it's own amp at a 2 ohm load you will be good.
Each sub would have to be wired like this to each amp.
-
Getting another identical amp would complicate things even more.... better to sell that amp and buy one that can run the subs at their potential, this way you can definitely know if to order dual 1 or dual 2.
-
No problem, thanks. So my amp and these two subs would work okay? And if I got another amp ( the same one ) they will work okay?
well you are going to basically give those subs 1/2 the rated power which will work but, if in the future you decide to upgrade the amp to give those subs full power, then you would actually have to find an amp that does around 2000 watts rms at 2 ohms or at 0.5 ohms, its easier and cheaper to find and run an amp at 1 ohm.
So if you are gonna upgrade then it's better to get the dual 1's now, only draw back is that you would have to run them at a 4 ohm load with approximately 1/4 rated power each.
-
Sorry mann, thought the amp was 1 ohm stable. here is the correction dual 2

Put a sundown Z 18 and call it a day

Why? capacity ! An electrical fuse is a fail safe device, which protects a circuit by failing if the circuit some how goes above it's rated/working current capacity.
-
haha nice one..All smoke no burnout makes corvette a dull boy!
-
There is no replacement for displacement.
That ^^^

Sounds like one of two things. You have a bad battery that wont hold a charge. Or you have a draw on the electrical system that is causing it go dead over night. My best bet is that its just the battery.
^ this.
1.) Go to the auto-parts store and have them load test the battery.
2.) If the battery passes, have them (or you) check the current draw of the car on the battery with the key off. You may have a parasitic item in your car that's slowly draining charge from the battery.
-
Be careful not ruin the sub in that enclosure which is double the actual required internal volume for one sub.
-
If you're willing, pop the top (power disconnected and supply caps drained) and use a pin from the other side of the connector to push it out.
Good method also !!
-
Use a wood screw the approx size or a bit smaller of the id of the rca, turn in it gently for it to screw it's self in the broken part then pull out gently.
-
If you have an aftermarket Hu it may have filters too ....
-
Can't go wrong with Fi.
To EQ, or not to EQ, that is the question
