    Common chamber is a must for a flater response

    2.4 net

    2x 4" aero ports

    23" long or 24" long if flared

    32-33hz

    Sav2 have a displacement of 0.1

    You'll need to get 3.2-3.3cuft gross

    Or if you want slot port

    42sq" at 2.4net 32-33hz

    And power them with at least 2500rms@ 12v

    So i need to make my box about 3.2-3.3 cu. ft. and I should do a common chamber?

    Also, is there a site I can buy the aeroports from?

    Right now I have a Rockfords Fosgate P1000.1bd so I'm hoping I can just throw another one of those in. Here is the dimensions of the box I have in there right now (I want it about the same size).

    • Cutout Diameter: 11"
    • Box Volume (Cubic Feet Per Chamber): 0.95
    • Mounting Depth: 5-3/4"

    • Box Color: Black
    • Fit Location: Under Rear Seat

    • I know some of that doesn't matter, but I just copied and pasted off ebay.

    Whats up everyone, i'm new here and I'm really getting into car audio. Right now I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado that I threw 2 shallow P3 12's in. I really want something louder. I'm not quite ready to do a blow through, so I want my first build to be 4 Sundown SA-8's underneath the rear seat, facing the front. I want two 4" ports, one on each side.

    I'm extremely new to box building, but I learn very fast. I have a few questions, and I would also really appreciate some pointers & tips.

    Question #1: Since I want 4 subs with a port on each side of the box, am I going to need to put a center divider in the center of the box, so that I create two chambers, each with two subs and a 4" port?

    Question #2: The SA-8's recommended box volume is .5-.75 cu. ft. so should I simply take .5 and times it by four, giving me a 2 cu. ft. box volume for the 4 subs?

    That's all the questions I can think of...for now. Any tips or other help is GREATLY appreciated!!
