very cool. what did you make this for though? just for fun?
-

-
okay, thank you sir.

i see some SMD v'2's "accidentally" leaked into the picture.
what are you hiding from us?!
-
may need to idle it up a bit
well, it is completely random now. sometimes i start it up and it is completely fine and sometimes i start it up and it seems to be struggling.
pictures will come!

lol'd @ fuse block cut in half. it's a good idea though.
-
the ho alt with drag your engine.. with everything off it should be okay
with everything off the problem is still happening.
-
While playing, or just normal idling, nothing playing?
normal idling nothing playing.
I dont care about dirt, Just want to see the custom bracket you made
it's just a straight piece of metal with holes drilled in each end, but i will take a pic.
-
alright...tomorrow!
for now, does anyone know why my car wouldn't be idling correctly now? it seems the engine is having a hard time maintaining RPM.
-
It's not pretty. The engine bay of my car was completely covered in smut before i got it. People would probably just flame how dirty it is, i could possibly take a picture of my hack-up fab job though if people care?
-
Not sure if this is the right place to post this...but it's going here!
Had to order a Universal Alt for my car because obviously no one makes a H/O alt for a 1995 corolla. Fabbed up a ghetto bracket and got it all installed and tight. I have right around 3K RMS in my car currently and at near full tilt and the car revved all the way up i was getting just shy of a 3v voltage drop. Since i'm planning to add about another 2k RMS i knew i needed an Alt. So now i pushed my system further than i had pushed it before and at idle i now only get a 0.1-0.2 voltage drop and if i rev the car at all my voltage is steady.
TL:DR
Went with Mechman
More than satisfied.

Lol Steve is way to nice. Laid the whole thing out for you!
steve is the man! can't deny that.

these will also be posted in the Honda build thread later...but just to break down what N8 and a few others have explained.
Cut to desired length
Drill
Tap
Install
Wire
Hey, thanks for explaining and showing pictures for it. I actually did recently pay for someone to make some for me, this is why i was asking how to do it, so that next time i would how it was done.
-
coming from someone whos done it no its not. you're making it harder than it needs to be. All you need to know is how far apart to drill the holes.
which i don't know, and from the helpfulness of your original post, i'm no closer to figuring it out. i will just wait for what steve provides.

take flat bar stock.
drill hole
tap it or nut and bolt it.
amusing, but not quite what i was looking for.
i was hoping for an explanation for someone that knows nothing about them besides what they look like.
nate basically laid out the entire process for you. there isn't much more to be said lol.
it is going to be more intricate than that...

you can't really expect much sound out of a 0.65 cu ft prefab box..
Didn't even subtract woofer displacement. Probably sitting on 0.50 cu feet.
so true..he is going experience such a drastic difference with a custom made box.

Somebody didn't read the rules. Can't say I'm surprised.
when i first joined, i was in the want to buy section, posted i had something. in retrospect, i should have read the "please read" thread.
regardless, i was still able to post in for sale threads after that. this is a recent occurrence and i haven't had any infractions since that point.
just to make it clear to everyone.
my problem is NOT posting "for sale" threads. it is being able to post IN "for sale" threads.
