  1. If after the 10 days goes by and you do not hear anything from them, then you could make a post about it, but just chill and give it some time.

EDIT: Here is the thing about blown amps, they are not pristine and will blow again cause everything was stressed to the point of something failing, and now that something failed and repaired it will blow quicker the next time around.

On many amps, we repair them BETTER than new. If they are repaired properly, most amps should not be any more prone to blowing.

  2. Crap. Didn't I say at voltage? On amperage it's a different thing.. The argument is about the amp making more power on les voltage not amperage. Of course it will demand as much amperage but at 12.8 this amp is a beast.

This is exactly what I said: "This isn't true. They have the same efficiency as the SAZ line. They put out more power at similar voltages, but not at greater efficiency."

The argument is about the efficiency comparison between the SCV and the SAZ line.

  3. Too bad it's at 14 volts instead of something realistic for a 12 volt system

Thats why there is 12v amps, for people who run 12v electrical. IMO big boy amps need big boy electrical.

Won't disagree with you that the SCV needs big boy electrical.

However, I'd like you to show me a 12v tested amp instead of a 14.4 tested. I don't think I have come across a korean board that isn't 14.4 tested.

just so you are aware.. the scv amp is not like the rest.. its made to be efficient at lower voltage so it actually needs less electrical than other amps to get its rated power.. somehow im getting the feeling you dont know much about the SCV line of amps

This isn't true. They have the same efficiency as the SAZ line. They put out more power at similar voltages, but not at greater efficiency.

  4. I am here, patiently waiting on a dual alt kit for my Expedition :)

Patiently waiting for an alt for a Ford focus :]

    What year and engine?

    Thanks,

    Chris

    2001, and 2.0l.

all first gen focus cars are 2.0L, the alt is different on the 2.0L SOHC and the 2.0L DOHC.

    DOHC here.

    ah, mine is also DOHC.

Gotcha!!!!! We do can make a 170 AMP direct bolt in. That is the largest output because of the small case design Ford started with. If it was a SOHC we can get to about 240 AMPs.

Give me a call if you want to order it up.

    Thanks,

    Chris - 1-888-MECHMAN XT 202

Okay. Thank you for this. Now I have a decision to make.. singer does make a bigger one, but it would also be harder for my engine to turn.

    I will be in touch.

  5. no love for us Focus owners especially first gen. there have been alt relocate kits to accommodate a supercharger but never seen anyone utilize the knowledge of a relocation alt kit for a dual alt kit. seems to be plenty of room to do 2 alt setup.

Singer does one, which is what I'll have to end up doing. Unless Mechman has recently made one for this car. I'd love to stick with Mechman, but I gotta have an H/O alt one way or another.

  6. I hope you contacted D'Amore. I've dealt with him a few times and everything went smooth and was resolved quickly.

First time, I was having troubles with my DD-1, did everything we could to troubleshoot it, and then he asked for a serial number. It was one of the first DD-1's sold so it was out of warranty. Didn't matter, he said he has had so few problems with these that he would actually like to know what is wrong with it and he would fix it. I shipped it out to him, he fixed it for free and shipped it back at no cost to me. (it was a real defect.)

  7. You're scrawny ass is gonna pistol whip a 320lb beast and he's gonna fuck your shit up. LMAO. Afficionado got all the answers.

If you're not confident enough to take a close range shot, you shouldn't even have the weapon on you.

Dat strawman. I'm confident enough to take a close range shot, I'm not willing to shoot a gun pointed at my father.

Whether you're 100 lbs or 300 lbs, a piece of metal to the back of skull has the same effect...I'm not going bash the guy in the leg with the gun..

And if this really was my father...he isn't frail at all, he's about 6 ft and 230 lbs...sure he would be overpowered, but the two of us together would be fine.

I'd rather be shredded than 50% bf by the way.

@LT the gun would definitely not be my top choice, I'd love to find a baseball bat, or something like that.

  8. First scenario, definitely would not fire.

second scenario, it would be kinda hard to know if he was going for my gun unless he managed to get his hand on it. If someone is going for my gun, I would definitely pull the trigger on them...but over a few dollars, no way. A life is worth way more than a few dollars.

so you gonna let someone rough up your pops while you have a gun in your hand? Dude is taking a legger MINIMUM if im at the store. Maybe not shoot his head because i wouldn't want to clean up that mess.
Steve, I was under the impression you were talking about the michael brown case. In that situation, he was not pummeling the old man, he basically shoved him out of the way. I'm not going to shoot someone for that.

If someone actually got into a fight with my dad...i still don't think i'd pull the trigger with him being so close to my dad. I would definitely pick up the closest blunt object/bat and definitely go at him though.

Strong Arm Robbery. It wan't a simple shove. And it was NOT "shoplifting" like some idiots claim. I really just want to know out of curiosity how normal people would act in the same situation. So many people have double standards. They see a simple push to an old man at the store but put your own frail old pop's in the store with you and a gun on your hip. Would you pull it out and not shoot? I might not want to shoot either, depends on my anger level. But i think it would at least come out. Strong arm robbery, remember that.
Steve, what I was referencing is what I saw on video. You may have seen video that I have not seen. What I saw was the man getting shoved by Michael Brown. I stand by what I said though, a life is worth more than a few dollars. What I'm saying, is that sitting here in a calm, non-life threatening situation, I would that I would not shoot him. No one knows what would actually happen though. To me, it didn't appear to be a situation where a gun was needed.

And again, if someone was in hand to hand combat with my father, I wouldn't want any guns pointed in that general direction.

If someone is beating the life out of your dad I hope you'd shoot.

If they just shove him and walk out the door that's when you let it go and call the police.

I'm okay with my gun, but not good enough that I'd risk that shot. I'd much rather grab the closest heavy object...or maybe the gun itself and start bashing the guy.
