I made my box a tad bigger to make up for the woofer displacement. Box volume before displacement - 1.17 cubic feet. The box recomendations off sundown's website say 1 cubic foot sealed. Sub takes up .10 for displacement. After woofer displacement I will have 1.07 cubic feet. Will that extra .07 have any effect? Good or bad, will it be right

That's how I have them wired now. Running at a 2-ohm load. They just sound awful in the enclosure that I have now.

I have OFC 4 AWG power and grounds. Amp is the Rockford Fosgate R1000.1D. Prime series. Don't even know if it is putting out true wattage really. It came with a birthsheet of 1083 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. I don't get any movement or output of the subs unless the gain is at 9 out of 11 either.

you can't really expect much sound out of a 0.65 cu ft prefab box..
Didn't even subtract woofer displacement. Probably sitting on 0.50 cu feet.

Ill just go up an inch on the height and it will give me 1.14 cubic feet according to the Rockford Box Wizard.
Width - 21 inches
Height - 16 inches
Depth - 8 inches

I'm doing 2 separate boxes. One behind each seat. The way I got the design right now the new boxes will have 1.06 cu ft each. Width-21 inches Depth-8 inches Height-15
I checked on Rockford Fosgate box wizard and it said that those dimensions will give me 1.06 cu ft. Will that be good enough, or do I need to try and make it a little bit bigger. Building out of 5/8 mdf. Building boxes Friday night.

Ok I bought 2 Sundown SD-2 12's for my 95 Regular Cab Dodge Ram 1500. I did separate prefab boxes (one behind each seat) and I'm not pleased. I am planning on building some boxes built to Sundown specs 1.0 Cubic Feet per sub. If I build a box closer to Sundowns specs will it be much better than what I have them in now---prefab. I think it is like .65 cu feet right now, for each sub. I got 550 watts RMS running to each of them right now. 1100 watts RMS total

My Sundown SD-2 12 does way better in a ported box than a sealed box.
