[Single SA-15 D4 on ZX2500.1 (gain pulled down obv)]

Hi, I'm building a system for a friend I've posted about it before on here.

Instead of a 10" in a medium hatch back - we've now decided on a 15" for his BMW 520D E60.

HUGE TRUNK in this so plenty of space - we'll workout ways to get max bass into the cabin- ski hatch, cut out access ports on the solid metal shelf etc...

Ok, here is the problem he bought a used kicker ZX2500.1 for like £80 which is Around 120 dollars. Can I use this on this sub with a correct box - clean signal and Ofcourse pull down the gain and measure till its putting out a reasonable amount of power for the sub to not overload?

Basically SQL SPL type of guy just loud bass not competing!

He can't afford to bump up to a 15" Zv3 so stuck really!

Also I am willing to pay for a solid enough design that would work.

It's a decent Kenwood 900w RMS or 1800W peak monoblock amp. It's stable to 1 ohm too. It's a KAC-9104D, but thinking to maybe sell it with the old car and buy a new one

Also what sort of enclosure do you recommened for the sub and that power? 1.25 cuft tuned to say around 38 hz? The sub will be used for music and show off the output on music rather than pure SPL numbers

Hi, I'm new to sundown audio but not so new to car audio

Essentially we do car upholstery , audio and electronics in the UK.

I built a budget system for a friend a couple years back - 2 12" pioneer subs 2.5 cuft sealed box- an 1800 Kenwood amp all that stuff.

Output and quality was there aswell as being pretty damn clean

But he's switching to a new car, an Astra sporthatch (google it )

And ideally wants the same kinda output but less space used up.

I decided on sundown after hearing a good things and reading good reviews-

Problem is I only have an 1800W max amp for the system.

So I need your help to chose either a SA 8 or an SA 10 both seem to give brilliant output for size.

So enclosure suggestions and oh I will definitely pull down the gains accordingly to suggestions
