  1. The SA-12 would be a great option for you. They do come in D4 ohm coils Check out my link for the closest dealer to you

    http://sundownaudio.com/index.php/dealers.html?keyword=&states=OH&country=United+States&Itemid=128&view=directory&layout=gmap&task=search_zip&option=com_locator&go.x=139&go.y=19&go=Submit

What amp do you have? How much power do you plan on putting to these woofers?

I plan on getting to Sundown 1500 to power both subs....may have to scale down to the 1200 due to the air restrictions of my box.

  2. I'm currently looking for 2 12" subs for my upgraded system. I have 1.25 cu ft per sub sealed and it sounds like the SA-12 will be perfect for my application. I looked on the Sundown website and all I see in the SA is dual 2-ohm. I need dual 4-ohm for my 1-ohm stable amp. I've sent emails on the website and haven't received any feedback. Unsure if it it's on my end or Sundown's end. I also wanted to find a brick and mortar dealer so that I could hear the subs, but that too has proven to be a hard task to tackle. I guess if I don't get any feedback, it'll be back to the drawing board LOL...

  3. not to mention once youve had kicks you soon get used to them and forget they are there. beautiful car good to see the install will match.

true...because even in the Lexus where the kicks really look like a problem (due to size), they are not even a problem at all. I am not even careful and i never hit them at all. I think the pics make them look worse then real life. People just aren't used to seeing "something" there and when you put "something" there, it looks like it is in the way. Its not though :)

I'll look into building the kick panels for the foxbody, it's pretty spacious in there but gotta leave room for the 15s...Nike's that is lol...thanks for the advice

  4. This is very sad. I'm by no means a professional installer but I know what I know. I've had shops try to overcharge me cuz they're use to "dope" boyz coming in, meaning they blow money and have no clue what they're paying for. On the contrary, I do I work hard for every nickel that I get and I do my homework so that I get my money's worth. My dream was to have my own shop one day but with places like this in business, it gives the entire business a bad name. Now I know every shop wouldn't take advantage of people like this and I'm glad someone reputable like SMD has got a hold of this catastrophe. I've definitely seen some horrible installs and was blown away at how much was paid for such horrible work.

Those kick panels look really nice...If I wasn't 6'5" I would look into kick panels but that's where my feet go lol
