This is for the zv4 18

My Zv4 18 displacement is .15....that's a spec sheet straight from Brian at Sundown. I know, I thought the same thing, very small. The dis on a zv3 18 is .16, so might want to check up on that.

Got 4 of the 18s and a 12 in my other car. Absolutely loving them myself!
-
Oh and the displacement is not .3 lol. It's more like .10-.12ish.
-
You need more port area per foot. At least 12-16. I'd say more port area too. I know zv4 12 requires just over 40in^2 of port. Not sure with the x12, but I'm sure it's more than 29. Also 3.2cu may be a little too big for an x. I'm running my zv4 at 3cu.

My (4) Zv4 18s came in yesterday. Im running 2 at the moment on an NS1. 2 of them are laughing at my NS1. Ive been beating the shiz out of them and they barely get warm and havent smelled a coil.
-
Im throwing 3200w+ to mine daily. So would a smaller enclosure, say 2.25 to 2.5 be better than the 3cu i have now??
-
Jacob, I was under the impression a 3ft^3 box was the correct airspace for a Zv4 12. Are you saying that a 2.25-2.5 box would be better?
-
Yea I think my 18s were rush shipped yesterday. They should be here today or tomorrow. I've had my 12 for a couple of mths now. You're right about the lows. I tuned mine at 30 at first then built a another box for it at 34. It still murders the lows. I'm feeding my 1 12 3k+ daily and it loves it. Windshield is flexing on one 12 in a civic out of he trunk lol.

I recently purchased 4 new Zv4 18s for my tahoe and Im also running a zv4 12 in my other car. I was wondering how everyone was enjoying them compared to their Zv3s?
-
I run 3k+ plus to my 1 Zv4 12 daily with no prob

I have (2) v2s in my wifes civic and absolutly love them. They sound better than some (2) 12 setups I've heard.

I just upgraded my SA12s to SA15s. I know sundown recommends 3.5@35hz per, but I was wondering if I could get away with 3-3.5@32hz per. I listen to all music. I want crazy lows but descent sound quality also. I'll be running them on an AP1800.1D in a tahoe. Subs up and port firing to the passenger side. I'm also in the process of upgrading my elec system too.
Zv.4 how much is too much power?
in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!

Uhh....sorry bro, but thats clamped power. Strapped together, 3245w at 2.5ohm at 10.8v. I can vid to prove it to you bro. I've got 1330w at 2.7ohm out of 1 alone. I also have a fellow competitor that got just over 2k at .5ohm on 1 asa1500. So research a little before you try to call me a liar or down my equipment. Powerbass amps are very good amps. Very clean and unrated on good electrical. And that's coming from a devoted sundown owner.
