  1. exactly, who gives a shit about what other people think if you want a system then get a damn system. especially since i got into audio as a teenager like most of us, if i had listened to my parents or other elders about what they thought i wouldnt even be into car audio and im sure that goes for alot of people out there. Thats the whole point of having a system anyways its either cause you want it or to do something different that other people dont have. however i do think if you have a nice new luxury suv you should keep it nice a clean looking.....no carpet or boxes just sitting there, it needs to have some trim panels, maybe some acrylic or fiberglass, and it needs to be painted nice or wraped in some leather, suede, etc....

  2. i guess, some pple will say wat u learn there is crap and stuff.

but hey, trust me, u'll have a great time there and OPEN UR EARS and pay attention.

the old hag (u'll noe who) is a b1tch..

instructors are cool. Send my regards to Paul, Chad and Wayne. tell them the dude from Singapore (they'll noe who) sends their regards.

if ur stayin in the hotel that's next to walmart, stay away from the skanky b1tches who work there.. hahaha..

Thanks guys.....lol no i live in mesa which is only bout a half hour from phoenix so im just gonna drive everyday.

  3. ok its official, as of today im am starting classes at mobile dynamics on the 4th to become a certified installler. i first found out about the school when i was 15 1/2 and have begged my parents ever since then to go....well finally came up with an opourtunity when my grandparents offered to loan me the $7000 to attend. Well so far this is one of the most exciting things thats happened to me in the 18 years of my life and i really hope this helps me out in the car audio carrer field.

  4. actually, i know someone selling 2 of those burbs right now 1 is a '95 with a 6" lift and the other is a '95 with fender flares and stock suspension... i'll try and get more info!!! anyways to answer your question... a good lift will cost you about $2500 installed. be sure to do a knuckle kit you and your truck will be happy! good lift kits= Rancho 4", RCD 6", and the best lift kit for that burb is a Fabtech 6"... parts are $2200 alone but if your going off road it's definately worth it! FTW

so if i want to get about 10 inches would i have to do a 6"lift kit and a 3" body lift?

  5. ok im bout to sell my camaro and im looking to get a lifted suburban 92-99 (i think thats the right year range) body style.....there really isnt many lifted for sale around here most of them are the newer body style which i wont buy cuase there are too many of them and i like the way the older body style looks better, or they only have 3-6inch lifts on them......i want to have about a 10" lift on mine. this will be my first lifted vehicle so i have no idea what i would need. money is not an issue i want this to be done the correct/best way. so if someone could please help and let me know what i need and or what brands of parts would be good etc. Also if any one has any good references of someplace i could take it to in arizona to have the lift put on?

  6. well if wired to 3 ohms according to pa's ratings they are only gonna be recieving about 1100 watts per pair then. now right now i have my audiobahn a2x600hq rack mount amp pushing all 4. its a 2 channel amp and is rated at 2400rms @ 1ohm bridged and its .5ohm stable per channel. now the amp doesnt have a rating at .5ohm but the rating per channel at 1ohm 1200rms. so right now i have the subs wired to .7 ohm per channel and i have the bass boost half way up and the gain all the way down.....the subwoofer setting on the deck is set at 10 out of 15 and the bass is set at 0. so with this being said do you think that with the subs will be pushed ok of 1100

  7. No those amps can't handle a .75ohm load even with gains set properly. (Real picky) But with your subs, just wire them each in series to theie own amp to get a 1.5ohm load for each.

wouldnt wiring them in series get a 3 ohm load though cause just the single sub in series would be 1.5ohm so would 2 subs be 3ohm?

  8. I know how budgets are as my wife keeps me on an allowance with how much I can spend on my stereo, but trust me when I say the RF T30001bd will be worth saving a little extra for.

trust me i know what you guys are saying but the customer refused to pay more so i either find something cheaper or no deal.

  9. wow ok i think i might have just figured out the problem. well i set everything on the amps except the gain before the box when in. then we put the box in so it was really hard to access the amps.... so i looked at a picture on the internet to figure out where the gain was located and turned it all the way down.....me being the stupid ass that i sometimes am forgot that the amps where mounted upside down actually turned the gain all the way up instead of down :angry::angry::angry: so basically i had the bass boost 3/4 up and the gain at full and running a .75 ohm load. well my question is do you guys think if the gains and bass boost were turned down that the amp could handle the .75ohm load??? also could someone help me with othe possible wiring options....im really not that good at that. after looking at rockfords calculator i kinda guestimated that the only other ways to wire them would be to 3.5 ohms but im not sure if this is correct. i need to get 2 wired together as close to 1 ohm as i can or wire all 4 close to 2 ohms and i can strap the amps. oh ya the subs are the dual .75ohm coils

  10. 10-12 cuft box tune to 36-40 ?

i would go with 12cubes vs 10 and personally i would tune it to around 32hz...um idk if you have a 2 or 4 door explorer or if your trying to keep some cargo room but i would also shoot for a box slightly bigger if yo have the room say 14-16 cubes.

  11. They'll hold you over til you can find some/a better amps/amp.

alright, um what if we raised the limit to 800 is there something that would be extemely better or is the extra 200$ not gonna make much diff.

  12. A lot of people use MA's 4-channel amps cuz they're soooooo cheap. They sound decent, but sometimes like to go into permanent protect mode if ya know what I mean. ;)

ya lol....what about the sub amps do those usually have problems or are they fine?

  13. just finished an istall with 4 ssd 15's. they sound awesome and get loud as hell.....right now they are getting about 1100rms each, dont get hot or anything even after running for a while awesome subs especially for the price.
