they are big, but i would lean more to the fact that there prolly going to be much more reliable than your reg alt, or ho alt, because the last thing rig operators want is there alts going bad on their rigs causeing their trucks to be broke down... i say if you can get your hands on a 12 volt semi alt jump on it and make that bish fit, but make sure it is a 12 v and not a 24 or somthing else that you cant use
would a 24 volts be enough to power 4 18"?

I would personally say no. the semi alts are extremely big

yah. semi alts are only 300amp alts and won't fit a normal car without to many mods
would it be worth it???

lol i had that happen on my 90's ford station wagon and i thought the company that did my install messed up my dash but it was the dimmer switch
felt bad after i cussed them out

i hooked up my stock radio again so id at least have something but now my inner lights wont turn on for exaple my lights that lights up all the buttons and stuff on my dash..:

its a jvc head unit...btu im talking about the wires comeing from the truck to the head unit are diffrent..i woulda though that it was black too.

to do that wouldnt i have to also find the negative?
liek put the red wire on the power and the have the black one on the negitive wire?

ok so i bough ta head unit for my 1990 ford ranger...and i had hooked up steros before but when i hooked the head unit to the cables it didnt work??
could it be that the older modles poewr cable color differnt?

A BTL will never even come close to a W7 in its perfect enclosure in SQ. But for the most part you won't notice a difference and a BTL is cheaper and louder, and still sounds good.
lol i got liek the pros and cons of both subs...but steve says that BTL will get louder...and idk what to get people say jl is over priced but its better idk lol.....but im leanin on steves choice beacause i really think i kno what hes sayin lol
