If you are planning on starting a team it can be kind of hard. Just make sure that the guys you get on your team are true friends. Start off small too, if you try and grow your team too large things just get out of control. Look for a group of people that you want to spend all your time with, cause you will be. There is nothing worse then having someone on the team that is going to cause problems.
I know of lots of different already established teams in the Midwest, it just kind of depends on what kind of team you are looking at being a part of.

Bro I don’t want to come off like a dick, but if you are pouring concrete into a car for car audio, I would think you would know about what rules would needed to be followed. Most people don’t just jump into Extreme classes without knowing these things. Maybe before you start pouring concrete, you should sit down and read the rule books. Again not trying to be a dick, but just something to think about.

not sure how far you are way from Iowa but we have some shows, i know NE has lots of USACi but again not sure how far that is for ya, and how far you want to drive. As far as audio clubs yes there is quite a few in the midwest, I myself have a team based out of Iowa, but we have members all over.

How much power is the sub seeing?

Really hard to say, I know my local shop charges $30 an hour. But I have heard of some shops charging as much as $45 an half hour. Best bet is to just call your local shop and see what they say. Most places like if you call ahead anyways, because they normally have to clear out a spot for you in the bay.

when i was in NW my astro was 57-58 hz and walled off it played 65

Thanks man, and yeah no joke about getting as loud as mike lol. The wall setup will be 4 FI BTL 18s with 2 ddz2 amps, with 6 D3100 batts. Still will be running 14volts for now, but i am hoping to break the low 60 mark with burp, mid 50s on music *crossing fingers*. I have been looking at either a swapable port for daily and SPL or a bandpass with some sort of removable wall. Still lots of planning going on, i have been working on getting this setup for over a year now, finally have most of the equiment but now i have to start looking at all the small details lol.

I would guess around 56-58 depending on subs and port area (and box placement).

Looking for some help, I need to find out what the peak frequency of a 98 astro is. My teams meter is broke and being sent out to Wayne, and I have show coming up April 25th, can anybody help a fellow spler out

160 for the first setup is little out there, I mean, have you ever heard a 160, seen a 160 car, or know what kind of money goes into that? This by far is no small task, shit there is people that chase 160s for years. I would have to agree I would start smaller; get the idea of SPL first before you start shooting for the top. Not trying to kill your dreams man, but 160 is LOUD. Good luck with your build, hope you get that number. See ya in the lanes

ok can i get those nut things at like napa? i dont have much roof flex, but the vibrations are whats killing me
best bet would be a hardware store, I got my at true value but HD would have them too, you can most likly find them were you find hanging hardware (plant hangers, lamp hangers) cause thats what these are normaly used for.

Like everybody else said you do have to be 21 to get a concealed weapon, but something to keep in mind, and my instructor told me (i have my permit) You never pull a gun on someone unless you are ready to kill them, there is never a situation were you would pull your weapon on someone and not fire, because by the time you have pulled your gun, you know for a fact that you cant defuse the situation any other way but killing the other person. And you always shoot to kill, not only does this end said problem, but then your story is the only one that the cops hear.

You can always cut it to the size needed. You would use a nut on the end, then Teflon on the end so that the nut does not fall off from vibration.
I have had this rigged up like this for about a year now, and its held up fine, I tried to just tape mine and it was a no go, to much flex in the roof to keep it on with out having to mess with it all the time.

In my astro I have this same problem. What we did is use toggle bolts ( http://images.builderssquare.com/Detail/0/...5589_Detail.jpg ) , in place were the normal screws were, then used Teflon tape and a nut to stop everything from moving. Works pretty well, sometimes they need to be tighten because of the flex on the roof, but it was a pretty easy fix, and we just used the existing screw holes that were already there.
