I drive a small Toyota RAV4 with not a lot of space in the cargo area and was wondering if with the limited space to work with if I should do one 15 or 2 12s? The dimensions I have to work with are height 20 depth 18 width 34. I'm going to run the sa series. Thanks for the help!

Little FYI, the Obsidians are slated to be out at the end of this month as well. They are currently asking $120 per 12" sub and are currently a pre order item. They would be Good $240 plus shipping, in my opinion
I will have to look into those. I am on my phone and didn't see a preorder for it. But I am on my phone so that may be why. Anyone have a link? I haven't even heard of that brand beforei found it through the facebook. if they are still on sale next friday i may buy them. i still dont know anything about them but i will give them a shot.

Cone Area
One 15" = 176.71
Two 12" = 226.19
Box Volume
1 E15 = 3-4 ft^3
1 Sa15 = 3-4 ft^3
2 Sa12 = 3-4 ft^3
Those box specs are from sundown
just somthin to think about ... if it were my vehicle id go with 2 12s. Are you set on a 15?
No I'm not set on a 15, I was trying to design a box that could fit 2 12s and it is a tight squeeze. I just am worried my car won't be able to handle all the power is give it if I went with the sa12s. I'm not worried if I do the e series but I want the sa series. I really appreciate all the help from everyone! I am trying to learn about car audio. I thought I was making a good buy when I got the sound ordnance bp-80? At this point I think anything will be better than that.
One more question for you guys. If I build the box subs up port back is that going to be good. I read that to get the lower frequencies the subs should be mounted vertical.

An SA will want more than 800 watts plus 2 e15s is 2x cone area and more than likely at least the same or stronger motor force combined than the single sa.
Go with the 2 e15s if you can fit them in proper sized box (6 cubes net minimum for the pair).
here is what i have to work with
the dimensions i have to work with are:
32w
20d
20h
the box was going to be
4.02 cubes
32w
18d
18h
with the port going accross the bottom tuned to 34hz
unless i take the backseats out there is no way i can get 6 cubes unless i take the back seats out.
would it work well if i inverted the subs and put it on the top of the box? i just dont want to waste time or money building a couple boxes

SA has a stronger motor, more excursion, and more thermal handling.
would i be better off with 1 sa-15 running 800 watts or use 2 e-15 1000 watts? i would love to do 2 sa-15s but i dont think my car will be able to power it without a big 3 upgrade.

I am looking to add get either the SA15 or the e15 but I was wondering what the difference between the two are. I am limited on space because I drive a small suv(Toyota rav4) I am debating on getting 2 e15s and inverting them or just get 1sa15. What are your opinions on the 2 and best way to mount them. Thanks for the help!

I am trying to meter my system. emf car audio is haveing a contest with the b-stock subs. I have a Sundown sa 12 on 800 watts rms. What will be the best box to build for that. I dont want musical I just want something that will give me a high number on the meter. Dimensions to work with are 34 wide and 19 deep will give me enough room before i get close to the back hatch on my 2005 toyota rav4.
