  1. i got 2 amps...(1)600 watt for mids and highs..(1)1000 watt amp for 2 "12's".....i did the BIG III..but before i did the BIG III or had my system my car already had that problem....could it be the cable from the fuse box, the starter,the battery,fuses..???

    starter did you run a new wire to the starter?? double check al wire connections esp the fuse box if its loose you might be loosing power to some importent(sp) circuits.

    and my friend has the same amp except with a 2- 12" setup not big atall and his does the same????

    sounds like a shitty amp if you have seen 7 do the same thing how are the gains set

  3. id prefer a couple of sundown 3000d's but i dnt know if i can afford them or if i can even get them arnt they hard to find???

    sundowns should be real easy to find they have their own section on here have you checked the sub wiring try a different sub in differnt box to see if it still does it.

  4. i know how to do a basic system deck couple subs couple amps tune it with the earometer and it usually sounds decent for sq but as far as stuff that the big boys do (bill,jack,the bassick guys and the many othere) im a guppy or whatever is under them lol... but i someday would like to get my foot on the door at a shop somewhere. my buddys shop is to small its his pops him and his friend for the last 8yrs so no luck there.

    can you go to the shop and watch or even help out most smaller shops usually dont mind a little free help. whats the book about never seen it before. i have the mecp book it has good info in it but imo it wont make you a better installer as long as you know the basics.

  5. I literally just did the big 3 on my 2000 4cl accord. It was a real breeze if you ask me.

    Your alternator is a Delphi 130amp alternator. That alternator that Honda used is junk. They are always being replaced at work compared to the nippondenso 80amp alts that the 4cl uses.

    I know that iraggi makes some alternators for your car. I just bought one for my car and it works like a dream.

    The big 3 is relatively easy and I know what you mean by all the branching wires, But you do not have to follow them with the new upgraded wire. Just run the wire the shortest way possible and out of the way of the accessories and headers/throttle body.

    so whats up with the 2 wires going into the fuse box it looks like one from the alt and one from the batt. :search:
  6. looks like the A terminal pull the cover off it should be a nut and bolt setup the other should be a molex plug with smaller wires. dont worry about the factory wires just add on your new power wire from the alt to the batt using a fuse you can add a new wire from the fuse panel to the battery to help with the dimming .test the A terminal wire with a dmm to make sure its 12v.good luck
