  1. Clean signal or clipped, that was never mentioned.

We mention in the beginning of the video that we roll into the volume to capture the best signal voltage for each amplifier. Just so you know...when doing spl there is always a minute amount of clipping in the signal for you to show you highest score.....

all 3 are good amps, however the Sundown to me is the most impressive...A 4500 doing 5600 at exactly 1ohm...the DC 5k basically did the same number yet at .97ohm. So technically, the Sundown "outperformed" it in my opinion, but as they said it is application specific and that DC amp did very well anyway, especially to outperform such a respected name like American Bass

I completely disagree. In terms of just this raw test the Sundown is the biggest amplifier in size. When using these amplifiers in a compact application like some of mine you simply can't fit an amplifier that large. The DC was the smallest amplifier producing the most power (also with the least voltage drop).

  2. Haha, looks good.

    Thanks Jake

I am more then likely sticking with 3500's because they continue to amaze me yet again in another application.

These video's are killing me, I cant wait to get my SAZ3500 hooked up to the 8 SA12's..

Should be pretty nasty for daily :)

Did I see that right you have it wired down to .33 daily? I knwo not recommended...

Have you have any issues with it thus far.

    Nope

There are two kinetik 2400s and two wet cells on it from wal mart with a stock alternator

The voltage drop on certain notes is not so good so we will be adding another 2400 and doing the alternator soon.

I will get a video posted of voltage drop full tilt. The amp has yet to shut off or protect once since we put it in.

  3. To clarify

Jacob Morris (the owner of an Eclipse I am doing a build with) started the team. I did inform him I didn't have a problem with helping him or any of his guys out but I am not a member. I never opted to start a team but somehow things evolve into misunderstandings as they usually do on most forums. I wish not to have others represent me as a competitor.

The person you are looking for would be Jacob Morris

  4. I normally don't own much Rockford or Lightning Audio products...Lightning audio is manufactured by Rockford so I have been told this amp is like the Rockford 1000bd...never checked to see. Looks stout, has 3 30A fuses and most of their stuff does alright from what I have seen.

    Anyway

    I want it gone

    215 shipped

and yes I will even toss in a digital volt meter

If anyone wants to buy my 2400 for sale with this they can have this amp for an additional 175 instead

  5. LOL! thats a little far from the truth, That was me at the show (everyone thought I was a Soundstream Rep for some reason) and I offered to Jake if he wanted to put my woofers in to see if he liked him... I tried to get back with him for the testing but I was never able to get ahold of him

My mistake thats what the guys told me

Yea, that would be because he has stepped away from the sport since he just had his kid as far as I know.

  6. Also need to give a big thanks to Mike Singer and his guys coming down and throwing in a helping hand on this and also letting me "borrow" some new equipment of his. B)

No problem man glad I was there at the right time when you decided to upgrade. My kinda of build here all the way around, nothing is cut short. Great job guys, there was by far a great deal of patience involved in the build.

The dash board looked like it was going to fall off the car.

159.3 @ Steubenville ohio show yesterday

With half the power now!? (8 saz1500's!?)

    8 3500's on 16V @ .5 anyone? : )

I see a loud future in ss1-2 for this car

A 4 door car still eating vans for lunch in the db drag lanes....absolutely sick Jake!
