-
o man yea that carpet is badass.. looks pretty cool
-
hot shit man... nice an clean!!!
-
yea whats with the Fi sticker...not bad for a beginner....
-
the other reason i sealed the deck off is because iam using the deck as enclosure for my 6x9 //// and if i didnt i'd blow the speakers right outta the deck
-
Is what I am saying.
Also..I din't realize you were doin a 4th order via a port....but unless you seal off the subs from the trunk lid and rest of the trunk sheetmetal...get ready for "der der derder der der derrrrrr" from that ass end.
Maybe dynamant the hell outta it at least or at least glass over the whole outer trunk ...area and I would still do the tire well.
Every singe person that I know/know of who has relied on "just foam" or "silcone" to seal a box that uses the vehicle's metal/body as part of the box... as you're doing with the tire well....has blown it out and had shitty results.
Not tryin to hate just hopefully save you some hassle later.
O yeah i toldly understand i just did this like two days ago all at once so i mean i havent even begun to start/// i still have to throw the floor in to seal off the spare tire well and i got 100 square feet of dynamat but iam still in the building phase but thnks for the advice on the glass i will probably use it for sure/// and i used liquid nail not that shitty ass silicone

Looks kinda counter-productive to be blocking/sealing off the rear deck like that...
What is ur logic behind this?
I'd say make the rear deck as open as possible to get as much air/pressure/bass into the cabin as possible and minimize trunk rattle.
..Unless you're a fan of the "aluminum cans in a bag" sound emenating from so many "scrapers' " trunks these days.
And I hope for your sake that foam holds up.
I woulda glassed the tire well.
well if i seal off the back///or behind the seats i can use the car to my advantage by pretty much making the car into a fourth order bandpass one i seal it and throw in the port

interesting box
how does that work for you
pretty good not finished yet though but bangs pretty hard though
-
I don't want to be a buzz killer but from what I understand Neons don't meter well. A plus for a creative box...
not looking to meter i just love being able to take a cheap speaker and bang with it any body cAN bang with a 1000 dollar sub but theres more work and fun into making something loud not buying it that way
