  1. best way to check is connected the 4 7 gauge wires to the battery and see if its a problem in the wiring cause 9 times outta 10 its faulty wiring and theres a lot of resistance in the wiring either it be in the crimps or the wire

plus the amp can produce over 2000 watts @4 mono and if you running 8 ga theres a good chance you have a good amount of voltage drop

  2. might want to check you ground cable to see if the cable has a solid ground point too and make sure you have ample enough current getting to the amp also the opti drive amps are current hungry even at 4 ohm mono you know i had those 3 2500 on 9 jl w6 and never had any problems unless my voltage drop below the limit of 11v and it was due to a faulty ground cable if everything checks out send it to me and i will check it out

plus one more thing the amp cant get burned like that...your amp just got too hot and just went into protect mode everytime you higherd your gain...you might wanna keep your gain a lil lower man
  3. I have 2 mint cd players from the mid 90's that where said to have the best transports ever built and still to this day works flawless both have been serviced from eclipse and was put away for an old school build but i am no longer able to do installs nor do i have the time to complete the installs along with about 6 old school lanzar optidrive amps before they was bought out by pyramid

the esn is not active so you can use your own key cd to make it active

    1. The output voltage is only 2.7 volts not 4 volts. Kind of low, but should be a problem in a well design system. If you what a hotter signal run it into a high quality line driver.

2.Both head units output impedance is 22 ohms Now this is a great spec. Can you say a super clean signal. Most head units out are 150 ohms to 330ohms

    135.00 each plus shipping

if you have any question please feel free to ask

  4. I also noticed its a rag top I'm thinking about doing a half wall in my convertible (1991 mercury capri xr2) with 4 10" l5s

yeah its a some what of a rag top its gonna be a lot of work that im doing to it

    1 system

2 new dash with new digital gauges

    3 power windows

4 new motor at least a 1770 cc

    5 interior

6 fix the messed up shaved door handles

oh and get new door poppers too

i have a bunch of things ordered so far but gotta find the time to start the project

i have already taken the old dash out and waiting for some buss bars to come

in so i can start rewiring all the mess under the dash and its not looking to fun

but it will keep me busy for a while :)

oh and new paint cant forget the new paint job hahaha have to get rid of the light blue and go woth something darker

  5. cool im looking for the in between mix i want them to sound good but if i really want to jam on them i can

not like im looking to wall the bug or snatch all the trophys in the bass race but would be kinda cool

to jam out if i wanted to

now i gotta find a way to deaden the hell out of the bug since theres hardly any panels that can cover all the metal

  6. ok here is the deal i have an old school 73 vw super beetle that im currently redoing from scratch the whole nine even the dash my question is whats the best 8in sub that will work best with a mmats 1400.1 non modifed

i would have done a wall but being the case that the biggest alternator i can get is only 100 amp and the 2nd its a 50/50 split rag top so im just going to get some 8 in the rear

i thought i would go with the jl 8w7 but im not to keen on the w7 series but then again i might just have to at this time

grant it i have a 12 juggernaut too but i need at least 2.5cubic for optimal performance

my current equipment is that im going to install

    1 sq4070 mmats 4 channel amp

    1 dhc 1400.1 sub amp

1 alpine cda 9835 source unit

1 alpive dva 5205 dvd player

    1 alpine tme 790 f1 screen

    3 way mbquarts 8 midbass 5 1/4 mids and 1inch tweets
