I'll take a stab at it. It could be that everything has made a wear pattern consistent to the film of oil that it was used to and now it's a thinner film of oil which would not lubricate as well causing it to make a ticking/knocking noise? I would try putting the thicker oil back in and see if it cures it.

smokey, just a FYI its VERY HARD to do high numbers at low hertz, the lower the hertz the longer between hits and the less pressure, its common logic you may be able to do the numbers you "claim" but do it at 21hz and you will see a massive drop in deebeez
^This is true. You don't see people playing tones that low very often, nor do you see them putting up numbers like that.

A little more than that I'm sure. One of PCA's customer's has one in a geo metro running two Powerbass 3kw on it daily with no problems.

I tried telling him that to begin with, but he's confident that he knows absolutely everything there is to know about car audio so I'll just let him do whatever. I'm not going to have any part in it so if something goes wrong I can be like told ya so.

I hope someone here can help me out cause I am completely lost with this one. A friend of mine called me up today and said he got some new equipment and plans on installing it tomorrow. When he told me how he is planning on wiring it up I kinda stopped and scratched my head. He told me he was going to wire it straight to the alternator. I was like why? He told me that way it gets full power when it demands it. My question is what kind of effects is that going to have on the amp? I don't plan on trying this on my stuff, I'll stick with wiring it to the battery. But I am also curious as to what kind of stuff he should expect to happen. Can anyone answer this for me?

my main one is country, i've got 1500+ songs on my computer and prolly 1000+ are country, i like rock and rap though, mainly like rap for the bass, and rock like AC/DC and led zepplin, stuff like that. but mainly when you see me comin down the street i'll be shakin stuff with some craig morgan- international harvester, that song has some awesome bass lines in it

well, last night me and my friend derik raised over $250 to go to his family, and that was in a matter of abot 2 hours, just sittin uptown with friends. so its a good start. derik bought a big rebel flag and a bunch of people signed it. i know one thing, the string of confederate flags goin down the road on monday will be a sight to see, i'm flyin one

right now, idc man, i know its not the best thing to do, but he didnt deserve it. i know if its your time to go then its your time, but damn it just seems to early for him. none of us will prolly find the guy as he's most likely layin low for a while, but a friend of mine knows the truck and possibly the owner, and he's one of them that wants to ride along with me

no he wasnt, yeah thats probably what caused it, but all this still pisses me off, andrew didnt do a damn thing to anyone around him unless you mess with his friends or family, he was a VERY loyal kid. and im just doin what he would have done for us had it been one of us instead of him, and thats beating the hell outta the other guy

me and a bunch of my friends are goin out to find him on friday, and if we do, he's gonna have about thirty pissed off people to deal with. he's gonna get whats comin to him whether it be jailtime, or gettin beat down or both. if the cops get him, he could get fleeing the scene of an accident and wreckless homicide. maybe more if he was drunk

ok, i've got a question for all of you, but i think you all need to hear the story first so you can understand why im pissed off right now.
ok my friends andrew, racheal, wade and blake were on their way to racheals house. racheal and andrew were cresting a hill and there was a truck in there lane, so she locked the brakes and swerved and rolled the car 5 times, it ejected andrew and the car landed on top of him. Wade and Blake had been folowing them this whole time and saw everything, as soon as the other guy saw what he did, he gunned it and ran. when wade and blake got caught up to racheal and andrew racheal said she couldnt find him, so blake ran around one side and racheal ran around the other side. Blake saw andrew's legs sticking out from under the car and he said Dilley and dilley said what, then blake said are you ok and dilley said no, get help, it hurts. that was the last thing he said, he was pronounced dead at the scene. 16 years old and didnt even get his damn license yet.
now my question is how can you run after you've done something like that?
all i can say is he better hope the cops find him before i do.
