  1. Ok , Im going to put this out there so please don't make fun of me. I completely gutted the trunk of my Challenger sound deadened all spaces, relocated factory battery and fuse box. Now here it comes THE PLAN, I measured all areas very carefully and what im thinking is this, resin and fiberglass the entire spare tire area I was thinking probably 4 layers would do it. that area is aprox 3 cu ft. install a 3/4 inch board across the entire floor, leaving a sealed 3 cuft space. Now install the 18" sub inverted. Now build above that area the ported chamber @ 6cubes net after all displacements 2 8" aeroports venting into cabin via rear deck. I know its crazy, but that's what we do. I welcome all comments and sugestions.
  2. Ok, I need your guys help. I bought a 13 Challenger. I come to realize that I in fact have enough room for my 18" Sundown ZV4-18 powered by a Crescendo 3500. My question is what position shall I place subs and port both up both back or sub up port driver side. building enclosure @ 7cubes net tuning @33hz with 81 sq inches of port area. Your help with this will be greatly appreciated.
  3. So I have a friend who wanted me to help him with his ride. Explained to him I am no where near professional and feel I can't charge for my work, not something I can say I will have done by X time. Told him it will be a project we work on together. He had been parting together everything over the colder months and things are starting to finally start coming around in progress. HU is installed, all the wires for the alt + and everything in the back except the runs to the amp are all made, crimped and soldered. SMD VM-1 installed by my buddy, really love the idea he had for it. But more is to come, hopefully getting some start on boxage in the next few weeks. Here is the gear list. Kenwood Double din (don't have model # atm) Sky high car audio 1/0 cable all around Stinger 6k RCA's SMD VM-1 XP3000 Stock batt later to be AGM Undecided Alt DD 9515j DD M4 Big box go boom Here's some snaps of da bish Working on his ride jamming with my tunes That engine bay. I had made a topic earlier and some asked about the engine bay. The alt is hard to reach, but with some removal, access gets a lot easier. Bare gutted trunk and batt in stock location. Putting stock batt on right side, xp3000 on left side. New location Le wire Left switch is parking break ground so you can have DVD's and video going. Right switch is a on/off for the remote wire. My buddy wants the ability to just turn off the sub when he don't want to hear it. Pos from front to back, trunk batt ground, and pos/neg for in between batts Then the VM-1 Then all the wires, all that's left is the box and batteries to be positioned really. RCA's, remote, pos/neg for vm-1
  4. So I am starting on my 2nd build of the Challenger, The first build was a pretty good success.. but not near as loud as I would have liked; http://www.stevemead...ics-glx-14001d/. The equipment i'm planning on using is: 4 XFL-10's 1 VFL 450.1 2 DC Lv4 12's 2 Skar 1500.1 1 MB-Quart FX4.50 2 sets of MB-Quart ONX169's 20' Knu 1/0 OFC 40' Knu Kord Kable 10ga 20' Knu 8ga 2 1 XS Power D975 JVC KW AV60 Have lots of stuff due to be here next week.. and ordering a lot more next week as well. I've already gotten the box MOSTLY built, and component speakers in.. lets take a look. I didn't go as indepth this time.. because for a box this simple I didn't think it was really needed. In time will be wrapped in Faux Gator & Faux black leather. 3.2 CF @ 34Hz Yes.. I touched up those awful splits :/
