  2. Looking to get some outside opinions on box type and design. I'm going to be running 6 NVX VS 15 on two Rockford Fosgate Punch 1000s (for now two, three later) and looking for opinions on what type of box to build. A 4th order is an option ive considered but I dont want to do a bandpass.. i want to do ported. Anyone have any ideas of how I can properly design a box for 6 15s in a ported box? Box is going in an Avalanche bed. Rough but close dimensions are like 49x19x50 i think. Not looking for someone to design the mathematics but simply throw ideas out on best way to place the subs and port for a ported box design! Looking to tune around 30 hz.. not looking for spl meter but simply murder lows. Thanks in advance!
  3. So I didn't know where to drop this topic so here it is... But im wanting to build a blowthrough in my 05' impala. I cant seem to get this figured out right. ive built sealed boxes but never ventured into this type. I got all my base numbers and all but lack the computer programs to make sure its all gonna be where I want. I just got three kickers cvr 10's. if anyone is willing to help id really appreciate it. I can post all the numbers I can work with.
  4. I am going to be building a blow through in my 96' GMC Sierra, there will be 4 Sundown ZV3 15s I plan on running 4+ d3400s and 2 singer alts, but not exactly sure how big of an amp I can really push the subs with, don't want to completely over power them and have to be doing recones on them, I know I can run atleast 6k watts. Any suggestions?
  5. Im thinking about making a blow through for an Alpine Type R 10" and was wanting to know if that would be to small to sound good in a 1.5-3 cube box... the sub sounds super good right now just not in a good box for it and doesnt get as low as I want right now but the blow through will be 32-34 Hz
  6. I decided to run my 2 zv418s free air to make sure there all good before I start to build. Of course both v/c s are separated. So I sent them in to recone. decided to go with one. Makes more sense due to size and such. im going to go 4 cubes sealed and 12 ported 170 sqinches of port area tuning @ 40 hz. What do you guys think?
  7. I need an idea or sketch for a 4th order blow through box in a 2004 Ford F250 for four alpine 12" type rs. I am new at this and recently made my first ported box for two type S 12s and it hits hard but I really want the use of my back seats. The reason I want a 4th order is because with a sealed or ported blowthrough, it looks like I'd have to take out all the back seats where as for a 4th order bandpass I could have the blowthrough through the center. I listen to all types of music and it want the box to be good for that but hit lows really well. I'm probably going to put some mid bass drivers in the door panels so the box won't need to be tuned for those and then I'll probably make some nice miss and highs as well. I don't plan to enter competitions but I want good quality that will turn heads and maybe blow some hair. Any design ideas? Thank you
