HELP i have been searching around for really good 6.5 components, this truck had memphis audio coaxial speakers in all 4 doors doors already and have been in the truck since 2010 so they are way outdate. I have been buying and trying different brands and models of coaxials 6.5 speakers in my vehicles and so far the alpine type R were the best sounding. I've never bought components and crossovers before, i have always just stuck with coaxial because they are quick and easy replacements. I put a crunch PX-1000.4 amp behind the seat to run my door, RMS at 4 ohm is 75w RMS at 2 ohm is 125w. They got way louder but the sound quality was terrible. What component/coaxial speakers should i go with and what amp should i use to push them? Has anyone heard or tried the Focal R-165s2 6.5 120w rms 2-way components? I also have a Skar Audio VVX-10v3 D4 600w rms 1200w dual 4ohm that i am getting ready to build a box for under the seat or the console. i haven't decided on an amp for it yet, depends on if i just do one 10 or do 2.

Ask here.hi everyone I know I don't post hardly ever sorry for that but im in a system build right now and I was wondering some things. Well I have a 2001 jeep grand Cherokee and well i want the right set up of my choice i have come up with a few things and well i have really come to the end of my battle with choices this is a custom budget build and was wondering about things for my build and i am going to do with kicker high's that's just what i want and will go with either the component's or coaxial but the thing with this is i have called kicker and talked to them a little about what i am wanting to do but they kinda just blew my off and didn't fully answer my question's i had but with the jeep the set up and every one knows for the 2001 is 6x9 front doors and 2.75 in the dash and 6.3/4 in the rear doors but my thing is coaxial in the back doors as they will be the kicker ks series but my real question is with the front doors i am going to stick with stock size with the hole system so with this kinda worded all strange but what im wanting to know is with the kicker 14ks694 2 way speakers what are the ohms on each part the woofer and tweeter the reason im asking is because the ks to me has great sound but they don't offer component sets in 6x9 for the ks series and well i would like to remove the tweeter from them and put the tweeter in the dash but kicker said it can not be done for some reason or another they are non removeable so i have thought about this if the kickers are 4ohm 2ways does that mean the woofer and tweeter is 8ohm run down to 4 ohm's because i would like to just get the ks 25mm tweeters and just run the wires to them and disconnect the 6x9 tweet and make my own set of 6x9 components
What are your opinions on the different types of RCA cable, twisted pair vs coax (RG6)? Which ones have the best quality and how much are good coax RCA's? Is RG6 with RCA compression connectors a good option?
this may be one of the most noob question to ask, but here it goes. My Brother has a 2004 Subaru forester and he's looking to revamp his system with my help. he already has an Elemental Designs e3.8 8" subwoofer thats getting a box design from PWK so hes got the little bit of low end he wants, but he really wants some bangin coaxials for his car. he mostly listens to hard rock if that helps at all. he says he wants 4 coaxials for "under $200" but i bet if they are just that awesome he will probably go up to $250. i believe he already has some shitty RE 5.25" coaxials in there that just sound terrible so 5.25" is where were shooting, but if its easy to modify his door to fit like 6.5"s it, that would be nice too, but that sounds like a lot of work that im not quite sure how to do. if you have any ideas please comment on this post so i cant get this build started! thanks in advance!
